Seton RN Residency July 2015

Published

Hello Everybody!

I just wanted to start a thread for us to help each other get through the Seton RN Residency selection process for July 2015.

Feel free to post any updates, questions, and experiences.

I applied 2.17, and as of today my paperwork for routed to HR. I am patiently awaiting further information.

Also, who will be attending the open house?

Finally, I just wanted to say GOOD LUCK!

I got a call today from Dell, but I haven't heard from any others. I applied to Dell, Brack, and Seton Main.

Did you get an interview at Dell! That's awesome! I'm jealous. Did anyon else get a call?

I got a call Wednesday from SMCA for my third choice unit. She said she was going to see if I was a candidate for my first choice and get back to me about interviews. Hopefully soon! She did mention that for the first interviews they try to connect applicants with their first choice unit. All nerve wracking!

Congratulations!!!

I'll keep my fingers crossed for your top choice!

Which units did you guys get call backs for?

Hey megatronRN, what units did you apply for and which one did they call you for?

They called me for ortho/neuro, but I expressed my top choices were L&D and Oncology. No one should get discouraged, it sounds like they have a lot of applications to get through and a lot of HR people working on it!

Thank you so much for sharing!

HR is making the calls, rather than the managers themselves? That is interesting, I thought it'd be the other way around.

Well, congrats on your call back and good luck on your first choice!!!

Wanted to update everyone, I interviewed for the Ortho and Neuro positions at Dell Children's Medical Center. It was a panel interview and I thought I did well when I first interviewed and am a little anxious to hear back from them.

Also everyone is super nice, and I had the best experience setting up an interview and meeting the staff and touring the hospital. Even if I am not chosen for the position I still would rave about how positive my experience was just being interviewed.

Thank you so much for sharing!

It's a recruiter, she sets up the interviews because multiple managers come to the interviews. It'd be really inconvenient to get calls from every manager or to make every manager call you.

Thank you so much!!

Congrats on your interview! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you ☺️

Do anyone have any more updates on getting phone calls to interview? I applied to almost all of the jobs and haven't gotten one call back yet :( just trying to get a feel on the overall census. Thanks!
