Hello Everybody!
I just wanted to start a thread for us to help each other get through the Seton RN Residency selection process for July 2015.
Feel free to post any updates, questions, and experiences.
I applied 2.17, and as of today my paperwork for routed to HR. I am patiently awaiting further information.
Also, who will be attending the open house?
Finally, I just wanted to say GOOD LUCK!
I thought the open house was alright. There were a ton of people... but many of the people I talked to were very specific about where they wanted to be. Many people were looking for ICU positions and most hospitals were not hiring for ICU. A lot of the unit and hiring managers actually wrote things down on resumes and stated, "I'll make sure so-and-so gets your resume." Who knows how much weight it actually has on the hiring process. I did get to spend a fun few says in Austin though, so I'm glad I went :)
I attended the open house as well. I am only interested in NICU. I am glad I went to the open house because I was able to find out that there is only 1 facility that will be hiring for NICU.
I applied for the last cohort only to find out late in the process that there were no NICU positons being offered.
I received and email today saying that my application has been forwarded to HR. Does anyone have any idea when they might start doing interviews?
Mellie- Thank you so much! I wasn't aware of that. What facility is that? Also, did they say how many people they are willing to hire into the NICU? According to HR the part II of application will be opened 3/9 or 3/10 so I am hoping end of March we will get called for the interviews.
Besa- I hope your interviews went well!

I hope you will too!
It's intimidating how many great applicants there are out there since there are not that many jobs available. The closer it gets to graduation the more I worry about a job opportunity
