Hi everyone..
I just scheduled my exam awhile ago and finally taking it this September 15, 2008.
I was looking for the September 2008 Support Group and found their is none in existence so i figured to start one.
I am currently on Saunder's 4th Ed. and some other references like, Exam Cram, Illustrated Study Guide for the NCLEX-RN Exam, Prioritization, Delegation Assignment by Linda LaCharity and other Q and A books by Saunder's and Mosby.
But i am focusing more on Saunder's, i just like to have other references to understand topics which i am weak in.
I wasn't a very good student before or wasn't that much focus with my studies while in school. That's why i am very anxious now with my upcoming exam.
Now I am giving my best in my review and hoping and praying that i may pass it on the first try.
I really want and dreampt of becoming an RN and finally i am a test closer to becoming one.
Good Luck to us and God Bless.

I'm not familiar with Learningext, but I know with Kaplan they say a 60 or above is doing good. It sounds like with Kaplan, at least, you're fairly prepared. Is Learningext more knowledge based, meaning you have lower level of questions? I know when I would do Saunders I would sometimes not do that great, becaus the questions would be straight knowledge based.
learningext.com is the website run by the NCSBN. The questions are a bit of everything, knowlege based, delegating, priortizing, etc. I also have the PDQ NCLEX (its a highly portable review book). The CD on there IMO has harder questions than what I've seen so far on Kaplan and learningext.com I'm on the question bank part of the 5 week program from learningext.com and so sar I'm not missing too many, but I'm not into the meat and potatoes/med-surg questions either yet.
I can be buzzing along, getting questions right and boom miss like 6 in a row. Its frustrating to say the least.
good luck today........ babymaica, jamericanrn, and rn mag!!!!!!!! :typing:clpty:
