September 2008 support group!
you have to do what works for you. A I mentioned earlier I did many different sources and focused on the core content. With two weeks to go do you know your labs, airborne droplet and contact precautions, signs & symptoms of disorders, meds and most of their side effects, interventions for actual and potential problems, immunizations, burns, math problems etccc? because now is the time to see what your deficient areas are and work on them. If you knwo yourself and feel good about it, then do it!! remember this is a very individualized test, therefore what works for me may or may not work for you. know your core stuff and have faith!! You can do this

study hard 7 have faith in YOU!!!
I began with Kaplan( did 100% of the questions avail to me), saunders book and CD, Lippincott, exam cram, and nclex 3500. I know it sounds like alot but I felt that the more expeosure to a variey of questions the better. I also focused on signs & symptoms and interventions for endocrine, cardiac, neuro, respiratory, ob etcc diseases and disorders. contact droplet and airborne precautions, med categories, lab values, and psych ( develop stages, peds immunizations etc...) and also use this site to get support and do some fact throwing back and forth! best of luck!! you CAN do it

Just a note of thanks first to this site for being in existence, and to all of those who have been sooo supportive!!, and to those who have yet to take it pleasssse do not let any negativity get in your head!! YOu can all do this ( yes you too who have taken it more than once) study hard know your core content, labs & signs & symptoms of dieases, airborne respiratory droplet precautions, categories of meds and what nursing interventions you need to do! Do not focus on previous test taking expereince, or opinions that are negative, this is a very individualized exam, so know what your weakness are and get comfortable with them, oh! and GO FOR IT!!! best of luck to all with much thanks, future nurse who just passed her NCLEX!!

took nclex today
hello to all, Today I took my NCLEX. I knew it would be challenging however I happened to rcve many more SATA type questions than I had anticipated. Don't know what that means, yet I must admit that when I look back I did everything possible to pass this exam. I did 100% of Kaplan program questions, Saunders CD and book, Lippincott, exam cram, and nclex 3500. I made flash cards for all of the labs, signs & symptoms of diseases, positions. For airborne, droplet & contact precautions I used pneumonics. I feel kind of bad b/c I don't beleive I passed as a result of the huge amount of SATA questions. This is my advice: Give it your all, dedicate yourself, stay focused and positive and make sure you are comfortable with SATA type quest! Don't listen to any negativity!! Although I am feeling blue I realize that I have been studying and practicing questions since July 6 so I know I gave it my best!! If in fact I did not pass I realize that it was the SATA questionsand this is an area I must tackle! I will get back on the horse and refocus if need be! I guess I just needed to get this off my chest. remember all of our testing expereinces are so individual so don't focus on how your buddies did just focus on how you are going to do! feeling melancholly, TC:cry:

- Took NCLEX PN today
listen, you took the test it is in the past, so do not put so much pressure on yourself, you really have no idea how you did, so until you get your results try to unwind and relax. when you get your results then you can either celebrate or figure on what went wrong and get motivated to not let it get you down or break your spirit!!!! so think positive, get out a bit and take it off of your mind as best as you can. tc:d
