Hi! Just starting a thread for all students applying to the SSC/UCF BSN concurrent program for Fall 2011. Best of luck to you all!
@zetalove, I rec'd an award letter from ucf, but nothing from ssc. I went to ssc to ask why There was no fin. Aid in my Seminole acct for the 2011-2012 year. They said since I have a bachelors degree, I have too many credit hours to be approved for aid. I needed to submit an appeal along with a grad check from a counselor. I just turned in my paperwork today and it will be about 2 weeks before I hear back.FYI, you can also go to ssc's facebook page and post your question. They seem to be really good about replying to general questions. I have to thank wannabnurs for pointing this out lol :)
Thank you so much iluvlaxx3. I spoke to a financial aid counselor at ucf yesterday and they said since I also have a bachelors degree, they would send out my award letter sometime in june, but I will def contact SCC about appealing. Where would I get the appeal forms from?

No problem, zetalove :)
I got the form from the financial aid office.
I asked her how the list works, and she says it's alphebetized. But it doesn't go in that order when they select people. She said when someone drops a spot, they look at who's most qualified and put them in. I don't think it's everyone who got rejected, because when I was rejected from the BSN program at UCF, they only put 45 people on it.
I placed my uniform order yesterday at uniformity. The staff there were very nice. Its much better to go in and try it on. I bought two bottoms, two polos, and one warm up jacket. I also bought nurse mates (shoes)-Dove. They were pretty comfy. I did see that these shoes are cheaper if you buy online, but then again you don't get to try them on.

That's great. I plan on going tomorrow to try everything on. Do you know if we have to buy those shoes? Or can we wear any shoe that is all white?

Does anyone know if the school will hold AHA BLS for healthcare providers certification courses on campus?
