  1. Good idea! I have a crock pot and have never used it...definitely should start using it.
  2. Lol! Time to stock up on microwave dinners, ramen, mac and cheese, chef boyardee...
  3. Anyone else have a hard time answering the Keirsey Test?? I find it difficult to fill these out because the personalities types they are trying to diagnose are a bit obvious. Haha.
  4. Haha! I like how she discourages us asking questions...oh goodness...I see how the email could help weed out the slackers, but I do feel its a little inappropriate. Study groups sound like a good idea though. I know I was okay studying by myself for microbio, but I think I could have benefited from a group or at least partner to study with for physiology. It was just a lot of info to cover! I am concerned however about my son. I have a two year old and I am just worried if he is going to be okay. I have a babysitter, shes great, but I just hope he will do okay without me around as much. Or maybe I will miss him more than he will miss me?!
  5. I also went to Uniformity yesterday. I bought two skirts and shoes (Dove).
  6. Sooooo...has anyone bought their uniform yet??? I dont know if I should just buy it online from meridys or go to uniformity so I can possibly try it on before purchasing...!!! Exciting.
  7. QUESTION: For the immunization form...its asking for AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers Certification card. Are we supposed to already have this or will we obtain certification in the program???
  8. Another question...once we sign up/pay $50 for the background check and drug test we simply go to the Quest Diagnostic center and do the test?? or do we have to wait for a paper?? Sorry I am confused.
  9. thanks, iluvlaxx! i will go in person tomorrow.
  10. Wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem(?)... I logged into MySeminoleState to look for this college credit enrollment date for Fall 2011 and dont see it or find it...maybe I am not looking in the right place...however, I did call the admissions office and the guy just said it wont show up until it is Fall 2011...is this true?? Seems to make sense what he said, but just wanting to make sure. Also, the SSC letter of intent can be mailed or faxed, right? Thanks for any replies!
  11. Coffee and Wannabenurs: Oh man, Im sorry to hear you were'nt accepted, coffee. Definitely try again! Dont give up. The world needs people who truly care about nursing!! To be honest, I also thought I would be rejected just because most people dont get accepted first time around (and not to mention I dont have the most amazing grades!). I recieved my AA degree Summer 2010. I finished my prereqs Fall 2010. I finished both Chem and Stats Spring 2011. I applied to UCF and was accepted by Fall 2010 (I applied for Fall 2011).
  12. Congrats to all who have been accepted!!! I am also IN the concurrent!!! Woohoo!! Cant wait to start!
  13. Wonderful!!! Thanks for the update...good luck everybody!
  14. Jacksonleo, Hello! I remember seeing your name in a previous forum on allnurses. Nice to see you reaching out to us noobs. What was your GPA and TEAS? I remember seeing someone by the username of "whitewolf" or something and they had a 3.4 gpa and 78.8% TEAS and got accepted!! It gives me great hope because I have the same!
  15. BTW to everybody, I included a letter of recommendation from my Microbiology teacher (I totally soared in that class ). Just curious, did anybody else include a letter of recommendation? I called both SSC and UCF to make sure it was okay to include a letter.
