Seminole State Spring 2012 Generic/Concurrent Applicant

U.S.A. Florida

Published

Hey all, I was wondering if anyone else is on this website that is applying to the upcoming spring evening term for SSC and if so, what are your thoughts. Are you nervous? I am!

Wishing it was. Hopefully the wait won't be too long, it says that UCF take 4-6 weeks to make a decision on the Concurrent Program. I wonder if we will get their decision before SSCs? I also heard that the Basic BSN participants received an email regarding acceptance. Maybe we will get the same.

I wonder how likely it would be to be accepted into UCF's program but not SSC. That would be awful.

I don't think that happens. I think UCF picks first, then maybe they ask SSC and they either say yes or no. I don't think you would ever know. At least, that's the only scenario I can think of.

Last semester, I got both letters on the same day, the Saturday after the 6th week.

So, maybe by Nov 12 or so we will know.

I can't wait to find out. This week starts October and I hope it flies by for everyone. Thanks for the information Meliska13.

I love October. I hope it cools off soon!

I love October as well. It is about time for the weather to cool down.

Did anyone read the posts from the fall applicants? There were lots of interesting posts. I wonder how they are doing now.

Hello everyone!

I applied to the concurrent program and I'm so nervous! I don't know what real chance I have of getting in since my GPA is so low. Here are my stats:

Program GPA: 3.16

Overall GPA: 3.02

TEAS V: 78%

Pre-reqs: Summer 2002 (this seems to be the only good thing I have going for me).

A little background...I was previously in the Valencia nursing program. I was in my 3rd semester when I got pregnant. It was a high-risk pregnancy so I had to leave the program since it was affecting my grades/preparedness for class. I loved the program, although it was really hard work. This time around I also applied to Valencia, but there is a long waiting list and I don't even know where I stand. Unfortunately, I have to start all over again and I have to apply like everyone else since it's been so long. My plan is to go to the first program possible.

The wait is going to be so hard! I'm hoping the best for everyone!!!
