Seminole State Spring 2012 Generic/Concurrent Applicant

U.S.A. Florida

Published

Hey all, I was wondering if anyone else is on this website that is applying to the upcoming spring evening term for SSC and if so, what are your thoughts. Are you nervous? I am!

Has anyone received their UCF nursing application yet? I requested it on Monday but it hasn't come.

Hello everyone,

I way behind you all. I am actually just in the process to start college for first time. I went to a tech school for my medical assistant degree. I wanted to keep going and go for my RN degree.

So my issue right now is where to go. I have been to Valencia and I have been to SSC. I will be enrolling for the spring 2012 start date for my prereqs. I am so tossed. I dont even know where to go> I dont know whether to go to Valencia or to go to SCC. I am so conflicted. I hear there is a such a long waiting list for valencia. Then I hear that there is no waiting list for SSC. It is harder to get into it the Rn program. I dont even know what to do.

I want to wish you all luck with what ever school you go to. I hope you all get in. :)

Warrensangels,

I would apply to both and go to the one that accepts you first!

I was originally going to apply but can't due to unfortunate circumstances. it looks like I will have to wait another year before I can even apply. I have been to a couple information sessions but I still am so confused with the process. If I want to apply for the concurrent program do I need to fill out the Generic RN application for Seminole State AND the UCF one? Also i need to be accepted into UCF general admission prior to filling out their nursing application? Is this correct? I just want to make sure. It seems like a complicated process and I don't want to waste time doing unnecessary work if I don't have to.

Thanks and good luck everyone that is applying for Spring 2012. I wish you all the best and wish I could join you.

Yes, lostinfl, you will need to apply to the SSC program and to the UCF program. You will need to apply to UCF before getting the UCF nursing application. Boy, that does sound complicated, doesn't it?

Has anyone turned in their application yet? I have mine all ready to drop off tomorrow and this evening I completed my UCF Nursing app online. I guess the waiting begins.....

and we wait.....

Is the student affairs/admissions office that round desk in the lobby?

Yes. There is a basket and a sign-in sheet where you drop off your application.

I was #63 when I dropped mine off on Wednesday.:coollook:

This is so stressful. Why do they make us wait so long? We wont have an answer for 6 to 8 weeks after next Friday and i'm sure it will be the full 8. ugh.

I just wanted to wish everyone the best of luck during the application period. :yeah::hug:
