Hi everyone, it might be a little early but I wanted to start a forum for SU's 2021 BSN applicants! I'm applying as a transfer student from a community college in California. I'm curious about everyone else's experience as a pre-nursing student and the schools they plan on applying to.
I've yet to complete my organic Chemistry course (my school doesn't offer one course with both organic and inorganic) and my pre-calculus course to satisfy the prerequisites. Right now I'm trying to find volunteer work, but with the pandemic, there's not much out there.
Feel free to share anything, I'm super curious about everyone's stats!
Hello prospected BSN students!
I have also applied to the BSN program at SU and received an invitation for the interview. I'm doing mine next week! your discussions have been helpful, thank you! However, I was hoping to get more information and or advice on the interview from current and or former students. Please share if you can. Thank you!
Also, how many students get accepted? I saw a current student said their is 94 but that dose seem like a lot. Please let me know if you know. Thank you!
I hope the best for all of us!
@JessicaS94 I'm not sure about the accuracy from these numbers, but this article from a Seattle U student newspaper in 2018 says 80-85 students are accepted and they have 500-600 applicants. In which case I think 94 is conceivable.

If anyone might know what the interview questions are like, I'd love to prepare some more! I'm excited albeit nervous about having my interview so soon!
Hi,
Did they explain why this year they only accept 45 transfer students?

Re-reading what I said, I might be mistaken and be thinking of another program. Maybe someone else could clarify? I don't have my info session notes on hand. I wish they had this info readily available on their site!
Just now, Anhton said:As I read some threads from past years, people said there are 80-90 slots for transfer students. This is so confusing. Maybe I’m wrong huhu
Okay! Definitely, if you read it from past year's threads I'm sure you're right. my mistake, my head is honestly spinning from all the info from different schools! I'll see if I can delete my post as not to confuse more people ?
Hello Everyone!
I am so thankful I found this thread because I do not know anyone else who applied to the program so it is nice to have a community of people to go through this!
I have my interview next week & I am extremely nervous and excited at the same time.
good luck everyone! Hope we are future classmates ?

I don't know for sure how much SU will accept this year. But the final decision will be mailed out around the end of March or early April.
