Seattle University (Seattle U) BSN Fall 2021

Published

Hi everyone, it might be a little early but I wanted to start a forum for SU's 2021 BSN applicants! I'm applying as a transfer student from a community college in California. I'm curious about everyone else's experience as a pre-nursing student and the schools they plan on applying to.

I've yet to complete my organic Chemistry course (my school doesn't offer one course with both organic and inorganic) and my pre-calculus course to satisfy the prerequisites. Right now I'm trying to find volunteer work, but with the pandemic, there's not much out there.

Feel free to share anything, I'm super curious about everyone's stats!

Does any one knows what is the chance of getting accepted after interview in the past application cohort?

Congrats to those that got an interview invitation! If it helps, I believe there are 94 students in my cohort. I’m not exactly sure how many people get invited for an interview though.

Hi,

Would you mind sharing us what the interview liked? What were the questions?

Thanks you for the information. Do you have any advice for the interview? I’ve never done a school interview before, I’m not sure how different it is from a job interview.

@April Yang @Anhton I don’t remember all the questions exactly. There were only 5 and then they gave the opportunity to ask questions at the end (which I recommend doing). They started off just asking me to tell me about myself. The rest were more behavioral questions but nothing was specifically health experience related. I would say if you got an interview you have a really good chance on getting accepted. They more so just want to get to know you!

Hi guys,

Have any of you guys received an invitation email for the interview?

I have (AH!) I’m surprised how many interview slots there were! I wonder if they are interviewing 90 people or just making extra times available

Haha As I counted, there are 108 slots for the interview. So I guess there are 108 applicants got through the interview round this year.

How many people does SU accept after the interview?

also does anyone know how is the decision made.like is it made right after each interview or there is a final review.

@April Yang

Decisions are usually sent out mid to end of march! I had my interview on February 17th, 2020 and I got my decision on March 25th
