I didn't see any content here on Allnurses regarding the 2020 cohort for Seattle University's APNI-DNP program so I will start one here. Anyone else applying?
I'd prefer not to give specifics about my interview but it did not go well (psych specialty). Every question I got had several parts to it and I started to get nervous and like i wasn't answering well. I got into Penn yesterday, so I'm relieved I'll have a great option if I don't get into Seattle (which seems likely now).

Hey @eeens148, I also did the psych interview last weekend and they threw a few curve ball questions so nerves totally make sense. I've actually been the one interviewing and asking questions a lot of times in my past career. So I know that the faculty who interviewed us really wanted us to do our very best. Plus a real answer is always so much better than a scripted one.
So even if you feel like it did not go well, it probably went much better than you think (we are always our own worst critic) and usually interviewers ignore all the other stuff that comes with an interview (nervousness, filler words, shakiness). They know you're nervous and self conscious so they probably were understanding and looked for the very best of your responses to get to know who you are as an applicant.
Like you said, no need to worry and congrats on your acceptance to Penn! I just wanted to say you earned the right to be in that interview because you are an exceptional candidate and future nurse. It probably went much, much better than you think!
Hi! I interviewed today for the CNM track Apni-Dnp and it went super well. For those who may have their interviews coming up, I would prepare by making sure you have good examples ready of experiences you have that could speak to why you should be in the program. They asked several situation question... such as tell us about the time you... It was a very fluid conversation and it was great meeting a lot of you in the waiting area. Here’s to hearing back to good news! If you’re nervous, don’t be! You deserve to be there.

Wow, thank you so much for your (super) kind words! I really Appreciate the support. I’m really sure I did horrible but it’s okay. I sincerely hope you get a spot and feel like you have a good shot based on how articulate and compassionate you are. Seattle U would be lucky to have you!
@SilverCloud11 When I finished up my interview for the APNI Adult Gero track last Saturday, Oz said that official decisions for acceptance would be during the first week of March. I know that the packet that they gave us on interview day only stated March 2020.
Hope this helps!

@eeens148 now you're the one who is being kind! I think the faculty have a tough decision to make either way. At this point of the process, I think most of us are caring, strong, competent individuals with a lot to offer to the field.

I tried searching past forums for this information but it isn't there. The academic calendar for Seattle University states summer quarter 2020 begins June 22nd so I am thinking that is the start date. It lines up with the APNI info page where it describes the start of the program as "summer quarter", but I don't know if the nursing school has it's own calendar.

We use the same calendar as the university. Usually there is some kind of meeting the weekend before the quarter, and also you’ll likely want to arrive for the graduate school orientation which usually is a week or so before the start of the quarter.
Would it be a wise decision to email admissions/Oz and say I would like to take myself out of consideration since I accepted a spot elsewhere? Or should I just wait till I hear back?
Best of luck everyone, may we all get into our top choice(s) (and more importantly the best fit program for us).
Happy Meow

Wow, congrats on completing the interview. Dylan, how did you feel the interview went? Did they ask any questions that took you by surprise?
