  1. Yes LOL. Super weird. I feel Like they wanted to send a reminder email for those of us who haven’t given them an answer yet maybe but didn’t know how to LOL?
  2. I’ll be attending Vandy as well! Best of luck everyone ? and thanks for your words of wisdom and support.
  3. Thank you both. That's what I was thinking. If I got in, I wouldn't want to hold someone else's spot. I think I'm going to reach out.
  4. Would it be a wise decision to email admissions/Oz and say I would like to take myself out of consideration since I accepted a spot elsewhere? Or should I just wait till I hear back? Best of luck everyone, may we all get into our top choice(s) (and more importantly the best fit program for us).
  5. The accelerated BSN to DNP. To my knowledge they are no longer accepting to this specialty this year. You can check the OHSU nursing website Or contact admissions for more information. thanks futurenurseis it was a hard decision because I loved the faculty at OHSU and it seems like there’s some incredible opportunities there.
  6. Thank you. I got into a program that’s only two years and ranked really high in the country for psych. I’m also not sure I want to live in Portland for four years (I’m from out of state) and want to start working sooner. It’s been a hard decision for me to make
  7. I got Into the direct entry Accbac-DNP for psych!! I’ll be turning down my spot though.
  8. I havent heard anything about financial aid from Penn but it doesn’t seem like from past years I can expect them to be generous.... even if they gave me a huge amount like 30k for Accelerated BSN portion vandy would still be cheaper lol.
  9. I’m giving up my spot due to how expensive the program is and having received admission to a more cost effective program. Hopefully Others gets off the waitlist Soon. I was waitlisted at Yale, it’s such a stressful feeling! I know at least one other person who is going to another program too. I feel Like they probably take a good portion just because of how costly it is.
  10. It’s a very expensive program. I was not offered a scholarship either. Vanderbilt offered me a small scholarship and it’s cheaper (two years instead of three and location is cheaper) so I’ll be committing there. look into Nurse Corps - I know someone that did this to make it more affordable. I’ve also heard from Someone in law school if you get into a cheaper school you can use that to try to get more money from the school you want more but I’m not sure if that usually works (it worked for him though).
  11. Thank you for your thoughtful response. My friend is trying to stay in Nashville (So I’m sure that’s making things harder) but she’s having a pretty hard time finding a job as an AGACNP. It seems like it might not be as big of an issue in psych.
  12. Is anyone else here Slightly worried about the short length of the NP portion? I want to make sure I’m ready and will be a competent NP. I know no matter what program we graduate from we’ll need some training after. Any chance the previous/current students on here can speak to the quality of the clinical placements and how easy/difficult it is to find a job after? I’ve been accepted for PMHNP but any general insight is appreciated. Someone I know graduated from the AGACNP this year and she’s been telling me she’s having a hard time finding job.
  13. Im likely picking Vandy due to cost, length, and location. It’s also #2 in the country for PMHNP so has to be somewhat good right? Lol Penn has not given me any info regarding scholarships yet (I submitted The FAFSA late) but it seems unlikely I’ll get a big amount. Its hard to turn down penn because of the name but length of program is a huge factor. I was also waitlisted at Yale and unimpressed with their Response to my question regarding clinical placements.
  14. Does anyone have a copy of their curriculum or can send me a link? For some reason I cant See it on their website.
