Seattle U APNI 2021
Hey Lennnnn, I think these are questions you should ask Oz. I did not submit any extra documentation of updated grades so I cannot speak on that. I would ask for feedback on your interview/application if possible to fnf out opportunity areas for you. I hope that helps!

Hey Cindy! Don't lose hope. I don't know the specifics on how many people are added to the waitlist, unfortunately. I know they don't provide where on the waitlist you fall, but you can ask if you are towards the top of the list perhaps? I know I was told I was towards the top and because of that, I didn't commit to another program.

Hey! I am a current student who was waitlisted last year... but got accepted a month after so don't lose hope if you are on the waitlist!! Also, know if you were interviewed you were eligible and qualified for the program- there are just so few slots.. don't beat yourself up too much. Congratulations to those who got in and wishing those who are waiting the best news ❤️ What's yours will be yours!

Yes! I am in the CNM track- I don't think there is a huge difference between track interviews. My biggest advice is to really know the NP role you are trying to pursue and how your story aligns with Seattle U's mission. Really be yourself, enjoy the interview because it's a very easy-going conversation. It's tough now because they will all be virtual but try to connect with your interviewer and convey what social justice/ structural justice means to you. Hope that helps!

Hi! I am currently an APNI student and a DNP Ambassador. I hope to meet some of you during the interviews! But from my knowledge, around 200 people are interviewed.

I completely understand where your coming from and your message here resonates with me tremendously. As a black first generation college student from a lower socioeconomic status I too struggled with access to programs and opportunities that would deem me competitive. So I totally get it. I also applied for the nurse midwifery program, I haven’t heard back if I have gotten accepted but I did interview. I think what I presented in my application and in my interview was how my experiences and life’s mission align with the values of Seattle University. I don’t think a technical or clinical experience (that can be expensive) is the only way to stick out. Personally, I am a certified doula and have been a leader in numerous community initiatives. I think you working three jobs conveys that your a hard worker, if your able I would do some soul searching on what issues matter to you and become that agent of change. Also, I believe they do send out a second round of interviews? and some folks don’t even interview and have gotten in- so it’s not over. Don’t get discouraged. If you don’t get the response you want, I would definitely ask for feedback and how you can strengthen your application. I’m sure you’d be a great fit and are completely capable of succeeding in the field, so keep at it and remain hopeful. Hopefully we hear back good news!- Seattle University DNP 2020 Cohort (RN or APNI)
Hi! I interviewed today for the CNM track Apni-Dnp and it went super well. For those who may have their interviews coming up, I would prepare by making sure you have good examples ready of experiences you have that could speak to why you should be in the program. They asked several situation question... such as tell us about the time you... It was a very fluid conversation and it was great meeting a lot of you in the waiting area. Here’s to hearing back to good news! If you’re nervous, don’t be! You deserve to be there.- Seattle University DNP 2020 Cohort (RN or APNI)
Hey! I reside in CA, but am choosing to fly in for an interview. i’m not too far away from seattle but i think being in person is the best way to get a feel of a person. Where as a phone interview is limited in my opinion. If i lived further then I do, i would probably consider a phone interview, or if i couldn’t take time off/ couldn’t afford a flight. i would really consider flying in for an interview if you are able. But i’m sure you’ll do great regardless ? i’m interview feb 8! hope to meet some of y’all.- Seattle University DNP 2020 Cohort (RN or APNI)
