I didn't find any threads on Seattle University BSN for Fall 2014; just wanted to know who else is applying!
SU was my first (optimistic) choice. I also applied to Bellevue College but won't hear back until late April-early May. If I can swing the finances, I will be at SU for sure!
csweet, what is your opinion about the difference in course load at SU compared to an ADN program like Bellevue? I feel confident (especially after your reassurance) my husband is convinced that SU will consume far more of my time.
Thank you csweet for the advice I really appreciate it! SU was a first choice. I also applied to Olympic College but will not hear back until June. But am going to SU because I will complete my BSN in two years. The money situation is not ideal but having my BS is worth it. Justdance, I believe no matter the program it will be challenging. The best thing is to have supportive family members to rely on.
has anyone else heard back today? I did not hear from SU since submitting my application. I don't want to call just yet as I am sure they have been receiving phone calls nonstop, but there was no follow up emails from this program, or another program I'd applied to this year. All of the other programs applied to at least gave me one or two follow up emails.
Thank you hopefulBE and congratulations on UW!!!
I don't know if anyone is still reading the forum but does anyone know about the admissions process for Seattle Central?? I applied there and I did hear it was a first come first serve basis, but I wasn't sure what that really meant...Thanks!!
Is SU everyone's first choice? And are any of you still waiting to hear from other schools?
SU is actually my 2nd choice; I'm still waiting to hear back from PLU. That said, if PLU doesn't work out, I'm ecstatic to be accepted at SU--I feel absolutely blessed to have been accepted anywhere, and my heart goes out to those that are going to have to toil through the application process again.
I've heard absolutely wonderful things about both SU and PLU; I'm not sure what others have heard (please, feel free to chime in!), but it seems that both schools have excellent reputations, and people report that they felt they received a good education from both as well. One of the prominent factors that has me leaning toward PLU is proximity: I live only 20 minutes from campus--and, based upon what I'm hearing about the rigors of nursing school, I'll be more successful closer to home, given the choice. Again though... if it comes down to it, SU sounds fantastic, and it really boils down to the fact that I want to be a nurse.
