Seattle University APNI 2019 Applicant Questions?

Published

Hi All,

I remember when I was applying to Seattle U's APNI (Advanced Practice Nursing Immersion) program a couple of years ago there was no information for me out there! So I wanted to circle back and answer any questions applicants or potential applicants might have. I finished the APNI portion last spring and now am in the first year of the primary care FNP/AGNP track.

Good luck to all.

Has anybody heard anything about FNP track?

Still haven't heard back. Maybe today?

I am fnp applicant. I know everything is delayed because of the weather.

You are an RN already though correct? I think that there are large differences between those with RN and those without!

Yes I am. I’m not sure what the time line is for different applicants, I just know they had told me they were delayed due to the inclement weather. I would check with the school.

I just got an email from the school saying:

“I would like to inform you that SU College of Nursing aims to release the admission decision of 2019 AY Doctor of Nursing Practice( DNP) and Advanced Practice Nursing Immersion (APNI) in the first week of March.”

I sent a follow up email to him to clarify! I asked if that meant that all interview invites had been sent already, or if we should expect invites the first week of March. I will update if he responds.

I also got that email. Perhaps it went out to all APNI hopefuls. Still, that only leaves a couple of weeks. Fingers Crossed!

I received that email as well.

Thank you, Tayler. Please, keep us posted.

I don't know about you guys, but I am getting a little frustrated with the lack of communication and conflicting information. It would be nice to know what is actually going on with the interviews.

I was told the last round of interviews is the end of February. Decisions are sent out the first week of March.
