Scripps New Grad Nurse Residency 2013

Published

Hello fellow new grads!

I'm starting this post to round up all the applicants for the 2013 cohort at Scripps in San Diego. I called HR today and they were rather tight-lipped about when the application would post, and was told "It will post in about 30-45 days" and to "keep checking the website". Enlightening, isn't it? Also to those who applied for the last round and will be re-applying, any tips you want to share for us newbies? thanks and I look forward to hearing from everyone that's just as stressed as I am.

I don't think anyone was internal that I've spoken with.

Well we have a good shot still. Good luck to you!

Same to you, Jamacruz. :)

Do they call everyone first the send email after all positions are filled.

That's what they did last time. I received my rejection email about twenty minutes after my friend received her phone call on the last day.

Good to know:)

Wow Coriander, I had really different interview questions than you did. I got questions about my professional successes, persistence that lead to success, how I felt about refresher courses, and leadership. I got no clinical or assessment question. I wonder what that means!

msmith, I had questions about leadership, persistence, my past education, what led me to nursing, how I felt when I let someone down (wth?), and a ton of communication questions.

I had the same type questions and it seemed like they wrote down my answers

Ok, I was like were we at the same place! Ok, they must have had a pool of questions to choose from! Good luck! Lets all keep our fingers crossed!

My status is weird too. It shows only the first program I applied to -- the one in May 2012, but says app review. The second app -- the one for this program--isn't there anymore. My questions were different too. None about leadership " a time when you made a difference" and " how do you feel if your asked to learn a skill again or get duplicate training"

I got a call as well last night around 5:30 pm. I actually got two offers out of the three managers that interviewed me and I have to make a decision by today.
