Scripps New Grad Nurse Residency 2013

Hello fellow new grads!

I'm starting this post to round up all the applicants for the 2013 cohort at Scripps in San Diego. I called HR today and they were rather tight-lipped about when the application would post, and was told "It will post in about 30-45 days" and to "keep checking the website". Enlightening, isn't it? Also to those who applied for the last round and will be re-applying, any tips you want to share for us newbies? thanks and I look forward to hearing from everyone that's just as stressed as I am.

Hi, I have been watching the boards for the past few days. I had an interview on 11/26. If they started calling late this afternoon they must be calling tomorrow. Has anyone heard from Encinitas hospital.

Jamacruz, good to see you. I haven't heard of anyone hearing from La Jolla or Encinitas.

Yes, I believe there were a few people applying with an ADN. I think at least one was in a BSN program.

I was wondering how you felt the interview went, I felt mine went well but i am not sure if I answered what they wanted.

I felt mine went wonderfully. I honestly had a great time, and the questions were consistent and well-written. Of course it's impossible to know if everyone liked your answers or how they felt.

Did they ask you for specific examples? I interviewed with the panel on the right side of the room 2 women and 1 man.

Yes. "Tell me about a patient you wrote a care plan for..."

A lot of the questions were how I would respond to things, like prioritization and safety and teamwork.

I didn't have your panel... I had four women in the far left corner on the 26th.

Do you know how many applicants received calls with offers so far. I am a pretty confident person but I am unsure right now.
