  1. Congratulations to those that are moving on-- I wanted the extra training that a new grad program gives. You guys are lucky as you know and I wish you a happy time in your program
  2. It's a hospital in Bay Area where I did an unpaid internship. It was a verbal offer and we are supposed to sign papers on Monday cause they had to list the position for a week before they can hire us. There are four of us that interned there for 288 hours plus classroom time
  3. This is the email I got: Thank you for your continued interest in joining the spring 2013 Scripps new grad RN residency program. We had hoped to be able to bring some of our alternates on before the start of the program in February. However, due to some structural changes on our end, we are unfortunately not able to accept any additional new grads into our spring 2013 program. We sincerely appreciate your continued interest and hope that you will re-apply for our fall 2013 program. We truly appreciate your interest in working for Scripps!
  4. I was an alternate and bugged all my references -- I had 6 fill out their online form. And just now got an email from ------------ saying that they can't take on any more graduates for this program -- or at least not me. I was hoping they would keep me in their system since they had us do a reference check. Oh we'll, I had good news where I did an externship this week and got a verbal job offer where I live. I am sad I won't be with Scripps, but glad I have something after all the hard work. Good luck to everyone and have a great time in your program
  5. ct glove -- you said based on previous threads most alternates ended up getting an offer. -- which thread was that, I haven't seen any mention of alternates before-- anyone know? Thanks so much
  6. Ct glove--- I admire your persistence and thanks for the encouraging words
  7. I got the alternate email as well, I hope they have one of those extra programs and we will be chosen for one of those.
  8. That kind of is weird that they called-- I would think it would get your hopes up to see the phone call and then you would come crashing down. I remember that call after my first interview . This is my second, I hope it gets easier to dust off move on. The thing is it is hard not to get your hopes up each time
  9. Yeah, it was nice to meet you too, we should stay in touch if you don't get hired cause I need fellow job seekers to keep my spirits us. I am in an internship now for graduated RNs but it will end soon then ill be out on my own in the job seeking world again
  10. I'm depressed I missed several days of my internship to go to interview and I really want to just be settled in somewhere
  11. My status is weird too. It shows only the first program I applied to -- the one in May 2012, but says app review. The second app -- the one for this program--isn't there anymore. My questions were different too. None about leadership " a time when you made a difference" and " how do you feel if your asked to learn a skill again or get duplicate training"
  12. If when you asked for contact info one person just wrote their name and hospital and no email or address is that a sign they aren't interested. -- sorry obsessing here
  13. Yeah, I haven't had a drink in about 6 months but some wine and a cigarette sound good after all that
  14. If they asked you if you can work nights that's a really good sign, I didn't get asked that. Zip pity do you remember when we got called in there. I looked at my watch when I came out but not when we went in. Was it 12:30 or later? Cause I came out at 1. I wish I had told one extra story -- but I think there is always something you wish you had added. It was way better than my first interview I had at a different hospital. I really blew that one
