Scott and White Nurse Intern for Summer 2015

Just wondering if anyone else has applied to the S&W nurse intern program for summer 2015! Would love to keep up to date with everyone and see how the whole thing is progressing! They just opened up the applications the other day :) Good luck!

Way to go guys!!!! That is amazing! I am so jealous that you had an interview with the float pool manager! That sounded like an amazing job!!!! I gave him my resume (like all the other 500 people) so maybe he will call me!? lol

For those who got interviews, and offers. Are you guys BSN or ADN? and Also do you have previous hospital exp?

I am a BSN who works as a tech at a hospital. I also did an internship at a children's clinic last summer. :)

I am also a BSN. The only hospital experiences I have had are through school and my clinicals. I did not have a past PCT job or summer externship.

I am an ADN, and received an offer for a medsurg floor. I work at S&W as a tech and did clinicals there so i'm sure that helped? I did not get the PACU internship at McLanes though :no: SOO sad about that!!!!!

Thank you guys for the well wishes and sorry to hear you didn't get the PACU interview :( I am doing my shadowing this Friday at McLane's for the Float Pool internship and I am super nervous! Luckily I get to spend 2 hours per floor so hopefully I will be able to get a good grasp on how the hospital runs and what not. Fingers crossed it goes well.

Anyone know anything about Waco as far as apartments and all of that goes?

I recently accepted the ER position at Hillcrest and am struggling to find a good place.

I'd be open to a roommate but definitely don't want to search on Craigslist for one.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Have you heard anything back from the float pool?? I interviewed and shadowed last week and am now playing the waiting game í ½í¸©

He emailed me today and said he will be making decisions by next week! So guess it is officially a waiting game. Agh.

Does anyone know much about the Temple area? If I get the position, I would be transitioning from living in Fort Worth the past few years and the thought of moving to a new town where I don't know a single person is slightly terrifying!!
