When they walk in and start off with, "Well, a couple of years ago I hurt my (insert body part here), and now it's hurting again." And this is Jr. freaking High!:wacky:

I had a middle schooler come and tell me that sprained their butt during gym class. It was hard to keep a straight face. The student entered my office without any sign of discomfort and was just so nonchalant about it.

2nd grader told me that he has to pee every "2 or 3 or 5 minutes" and when I asked how long that had been going on, he said "Since I was 3" At least mine are elementary!

They still do that in high school. I have also seen a lot of "injuries" that happened over the summer. Some on vacation. It's early enough in the year that I still laugh. By May, I will be beaten down and it won't be so funny. :)

Well, I can kinda agree with the silly idea, but I can also explain that as well.

When I was 8 I got into a bicycle accident, I was sitting on the top handlebars and my foot got caught in the wheel. I don't remember the pain, but I do remember crying and my dad having to pry my foot out of the wheel. My foot would now go in when I walk and doctor's told us that if that doesn't fix itself, I'll be forced to have surgery at 12. I got some special shoes and slowly my foot fixed itself. But as I got old I noticed I had issues with my legs, I was extremely clumsy due to my foot going in sometimes, but that's it. One day when I worked at a cardiologist when I turned 24, I sat up and I had the worse pain in my lower back, I couldn't walk and it was extremely painful. I went to my PCP, did X-Rays, nothing showed up, except the doctor said that my femur was out of place, but that was an old injury. I don't have issues now since I'm mostly at a desk job now, but I do get some pains here and there.

So while I know it's silly, you'll never know if it's just an old injury that is painful now for some reason. Of course, I could be wrong and they're just trying to get out of class.

My saving grace of my foot now is that it can't twist if I fall and it's flexible enough to save me when I'm walking on rocks and trees. That and I was in ballet as a child and I was really good. xD
