Does anyone know best way to minimize repeated questions and maximize the number of unused questions in exam mode? Also does anyone know how many NCLEX style questions the cd contains? I am using the 3rd and 4th edition.

I kept the program open and went through all the questions over about 2 weeks. There were 4200 or so with no repeats.

You should only be using the latest version, the 3rd does not have the new format types.

And you should not be using the exam mode alone either.

Over 4000 questions.

4th Edition has about 4000 Plus. Study Mode is the best to choose in my opinion since it explains the rationale as to why each answer is correct. Exam Mode doesn't provide that until the end of the 4000 Questions. I don't know about any questions being repeated though. Goodluck.

There are some questions that are repeated, but that happens more in the exam mode.

Always best to vary things.

The key is to understand what the question is looking for in answer, not the question itself.

Thanks for the help everyone! I havent used these CDs since a while and just recently been using only exam mode to better simulate the actual test. I think I will be using study mode for now on. It sucks that I have done over 1000 questions in exam mode and will see questions again when I do study mode.

i agree with everyone.. study mode works much better because you can see the rationals for each ... it will help to know why the answer chosen was correct and helps you to id what type of answers they are looking for.... goodluck!!

i use study mode to, and keep track of my wrong answers.

By the way, don't use the third edition cd if you have a 4th edition cd because some of the questions on the 3rd edition can be found on the 4th edition, actually they just added some 200 new questions on the 4th edition.

also try the SATA type book from sauders. its nice also.
