NJ22 hope the acupuncture provides some relief

Stars good that the tree trimming is mostly done

Hi Ado

Tweety work rumors can be aggravating

Another slower day at work, which was kinda nice.  Do hope it starts picking up

Got the process for applying for the CT license done.  It's only supposed to take a few weeks.  Called on the MA license, found that they hadn't gotten a copy of my MI  license.  I thought they had, based on what I saw on their website, but apparently I was reading it wrong.  I suspect when I had it sent earlier it went to the wrong address.  So I had it sent again, this time to what is hopefully the right address

Was supposed to go out with J but he was feeling tired and achy and decided it would be better to wait and do lunch Sunday instead.  Hopefully he's not coming down with something

Today will go out and get coffee.  Planning to make a banana cream pie.  Also planning on another crock pot recipe, ziti ratatouille.  Might have time to get them both done today.

Will meet dad for lunch as usual.  Svengoolie has Devil Doll, which I've seen before.   It's kind of boring so I'll find something else to watch

Think it will be in the 30s today

Morning

Hey, @Joe NightingMale. I'm not really a baker and I've never made a banana cream pie, but would love to try. Do you mind posting your recipe?

Agree with Tweety ... wish we had one standard set of directives adopted by all state nursing boards.

Hope J is feeling better. And, enjoy lunch with your Dad.

Still cold and raining here, but sleet/snow stopped Thursday night. Hopefully, that's all of that mess. Will head to grocery store here in a few minutes. Get it over and done early enough before it gets too crowded.

I still wear a mask everywhere I go. It's automatic, like it was when I started wearing seat belts years ago. Get in the car, put on seat belt, drive, stop, put on mask, get out of car (oh, yeah, remove seat belt before exiting vehicle.) LOL!

Guess @dianah is enjoying herself and being very careful. ?

Hope you all have a nice Saturday ... @Joe NightingMale @nursej22, @Tweety, @amoLucia, @No Stars In My Eyes, @Ado Annie, @dianah

Hello all!

We arrived to camp around 7 last night, after a late  lunch stop to meet with our bassist and visit.  There were about 50 RVs in a large gravel parking lot, and though it was 50 degrees there were three jams going on, ppl gathered around portable propane heaters.  We walked the dog and visited two jams then went back and settled in for the night, tired from preparations and the drive (dh drove the whole way).

Around 130 am, here it came: gusting winds!!  It is now 8 and those winds continue!  Everyone is hunkered down in their RV!  Hopefully our little dog will take care of his business, he is usually leery of windy conditions.

Any way, we are here safely.  May not jam, in this wind, but we are closer to Monday' s trip to the festival ground and I hope the winds die down.

Have a good day!

It's afternoon now.  So G'day!

Joe, I think banana cream pie is my favorite!

sirI cold and rainy doesn't sound inviting.  You probably heard me say I quit wearing my mask, but it's almost automatic that I grab it and then say "oh, I don't do that now".

Dianah, glad you made it safe and sound.  Too bad about the winds.  Enjoy!

Slept decently and dogs let me feed them at 7AM instead of 6AM.  Then slept until almost 10AM after that.  Feeling a bit under the weather and my throat is hoorifice.  Took the home test and it's not covid.  I wonder if that's our lot now in life to test every cold/flu symptom. Seems like every five years or so I lose my voice like this.  But feeling pretty good mostly as the morning has gone on.

Hope you guys have a nice day.

Yesterday the temp got up to 74 degrees! Today it is in the low 50's but feels colder due to the wind/breezes. Brrrr.

Last "night" I stayed up until 3 AM, reading. Turned out my light. Woke up and felt the urge for a cup of coffee and a piece of rye bread with butter on it. Got back up to my room and realized it was NOT 4:15 AM.....it was 20 minutes after 3 AM! I thought I'd slept an hour or more, and it was only 20 minutes! I went back to sleep and woke up at 7 AM to let Ozzie out, then woke up again at 8:45 AM and brought Nannie's yogurt and meds to her in the den, and went back to bed. Stayed conked out until 12:25 PM. It is now 3:40 PM and we are going to have to decide what to do about or where to go get supper. Weird day, indeed!

I am not the only disoriented person in this house! Hubby just told me that he wanted me to write a letter to the restaurant we use most for take-outs. He said I was to write that they were not permitted to close on Fridays because he is missing his Friday night meatloaf. Well, after a while I realized it is Saturday and since they had started closing on the week-ends a couple of months ago, THAT'S why they're closed. We have been 'off' on our days of the week ALL week. Nothing to distinguish from one day to the next when you're floating in retirement at 'Nannie's Limbo House'.

Other than that, I have been following the news from Ukraine on-line. Don't have the sound up because 1.) Nannie is sleeping (siesta time, y'know) and 2.) Hubby's habit of talking loudly to the news-casts. Three or four words into the story about USA sending more troops.....and then he sets in squawking on how we were told we weren't going to be fighting on the ground in the Ukraine, and Biden this and that....Well, the rest of the story was how the US troops and equipment are being sent to Poland's border to help back-up UN's troops who are helping Ukraine. I don't argue the point, I just keep my mouth shut when he protests that Biden is trying to turn us into a communist country and blah-blah-blah. With him reading all these weird theories on-line, and having been raised in the South by, let's face it, somewhat (!) bigoted Full-blood Southerners, there are differences in toleration of differences, if you know what I mean. I was raised by a mother who was adamant about The Golden Rule, and that people are all human-beings, regardless of outer appearances or different cultures/countries/religions. So, hubby IS a human-being, regardless of his knee-jerk, un-informed and prejudiced outlook on some aspects of life. I can't change his views, so I just ... without moving or making any sounds, shake my head and sigh. But I have, more than once, yelled at his loud orifice to STOP yelling at the TV newscasts. WE  are already well-aware of his opinions on various stories in the news-casts. ?

Venting over with for now.

Everyone stay safe!

Tweety - sorry you're not feeling well. I used to get severe laryngitis every now & then. Usually on the downswing of my URI, and I mean severe laryngitis. I would be better & go to work, but, NO VOICE! So I used to let some A&O pts make my intercom announcements. They got a kick out of it and the staff thought it was funny. Never really got any backflash bc of it.

Joe - Your ziti ratatouille sounds wonderful. I've read where folk crockpot meals using that no-cook ready lasagna noodles. They just break the noodles. Been thinking of doing the same.

Diana - enjoy your jaunt. Sounds exciting - hope the weather behaves!

I hope & pray sensible people will continue to mask. HOW HARD IS IT??!!??  Like really.

Joe - hoping J feels better. Now he's getting IV ABT thru a picc? Home or office admin? Always said if the time ever came and I was relying on IV stuff more & more, I'd want a permanent picc.  ///  Svengoolie sounds OK for me. I still appreciate it when you announce the movie.

Yes, I remember you said something about masking ... Feel better, @Tweety.

Good grief, @dianah!!  8 degrees?? Glad ya'll made it o.k.

Hi, @No Stars In My Eyes. Sounds like you needed the extra zzzzz's.

Hello, @amoLucia. I don't think I've seen that one on Svengoolie either. I still appreciate it when @Joe NightingMale announces the movie, too.

Well, I spoke too soon earlier. Was getting ready to leave for the grocery store and realized that yes, it WAS sleeting. Now, I know it wasn't sticking yet and I could go, but it is the people driving cars in a counterintuitive manner that scares the heck outta me. Soooo, I stayed home.

It's cold (says it "feels like" 22); I'm ready to see clear skies and the sun, for heaven's sake. Rain and possible snow start later throughout the night. Sun is predicted around 9 a.m.

I also know that come this Summer, I'll be BEGGING for some of this cold.

I sound old (I am) talking about the weather.

You just insulted me.  No it's not that hard to wear a mask.

CDC has relaxed it's masking guidelines again for the vaccinated....again.

Meh..I'll do me and you do you and I won't get defensive.   LOL

I'm pretty much feeling myself and just a little hoorifice.  Felt good enough to sign up for yoga this afternoon but when I started to leave I remembered that my car wouldn't start last night after work.  Some Good Samaritan jumped me and I got home.

AAA came this afternoon and said yes I needed a new battery and they installed one.  Now I'm heading to Walmart because as it turns out I don't have jumper cables.  I must have left them in my old car that I sold a couple of years ago.  DOH.

It's a beautiful warm and sunny day and I'll be wearing shorts, t-shirt and flip flops to the store.

Tweety - I never meant to insult you. You are a voice of 'informed consent' and 'due diligence'. And I respect that. I worry about everybody. Masks or NO masks!

Thank you.  I know you didn't mean to insult me because you're not that kind of person, but wanted to let you know you did.  I felt you were speaking to me directly.   That's okay you can insult me and tell me how you feel.  I have thick skin.

But you'll get the last laugh when I finally do get covid.  ?

Opps quoted myself.  See I don't always have sense.  In fact lately I'm questioning myself more and more.  LOL
