So I was wondering, who is applying for the spring? Couldn't find a forum, so I thought I'd start one. Got the application and was a little freaked out that they decided to change their criteria this semester, but all is well. Good luck to all :)
I can't wait to meet all of you all at orientation. Has everyone had their physical done? I did mine on Monday; just waiting on blood test results. In response to Star7752 I took the cpr class via AHA about 1 month ago; $40.00 and it was done at her house. She's an RN, but teaches CPR(for Healthcare Providers) for AHA as well.
Nurse 2012- Look forward to meeting you as well. I just had my physical done on yesterday and waiting for blood work also. I had scheduled a cpr class with San Jac but the next available cpr class is not until Jan 8. I wasn't sure if that was going to be to late so, I called the nursing office and they said that it would be fine. Maybe i should call your lady and see if she has anything sooner? Thanks for her number bty. But I do have a question, do they give you the cpr card that day or mail it to you?
I've been reading the fall forum and many people were questioning what type of shoes to buy. Any thoughts? ALL white tennis shoes?
Hi guys! Congrats to all of you that just got accepted!! I know it is a huge relief. I will be applying this spring for the fall 2011. These threads have REALLY helped in knowing what to expect :) based upon what I've read from all of you my GPA (3.7) seems to be high enough and of the pre-reqs that I've completed I have all A's but still have AP2 and micro to go and plan on taking HESI for the 1st time in Feb...any advice on studying for the HESI? I'm confused as far as what vocab to expect...kaplin and HESI study guides show little med term but the West coast u study guide that has been recommended has lots of med term...which SG would be the best to study from?
Again, congrats to u all and good luck! Hope to be there with u guys soon :)

I applied to the program as well. But I had a friend who got to apply late. She said she recieved an email from the nursing department who allowed her to apply for program still even though the deadline past. It was an emailed sent out to applicants who had a few points off from the 75% passing on the HESI for any section. Maybe that is why the process for acceptants/declined email took awhile and maybe not enough people applied? I hope the people who the made the deadline and their application was completed made it in! GL
