So I was wondering, who is applying for the spring? Couldn't find a forum, so I thought I'd start one. Got the application and was a little freaked out that they decided to change their criteria this semester, but all is well. Good luck to all :)
Hi I was reading through this, and you all seem like experienced people. I was wondering if any of yall knew where I could get into an RN program at in the greater Houston area. The thing is I want to get my biology degree first. Im in the process now. I know thats a different approach ,and Im having trouble finding schools that may do that.
Alot of different schools offer the program, but each school has different requirements. They pretty much all require the same classes, but as far as placement test go you will have to do your research. I have my AA in Biology and now I am going to do the nursing program, and I honestly don't think that a biology degree is going to help much.. It will be good to figure out what you really like. I loved biology until I majored in it and now I don't care too much for it.
Also, a question to all my classmates.. How far along are yall? Have you all completed your cpr certifications and physicals?
I have my cpr card and am waiting on my bloodwork so that my physical can be completed.
In response tolmg1208; No, I was contemplating purchasing them or at least ordering them on yesterday because I'm wondering if they will have them all in stock by next week. I found someone selling the Med Surg book (incl study guide and cd) that we need on Craigslist for $55 so, I'll purchase that one today. Will you buy yours this week or wait until next week?
Did anyone get a "matching fee slip"? On our ADN blackboard it states that we have to have one on the first day of class. I asked Mary Gillispie if a printout of my current payment plan would be sufficient and she stated that what we need is a slip that says we have paid for specific classes. Does anyone know what this "slip" is or where we can get one?
