San Jacinto College ADN Fall 2009

Published

Hi everyone. Im wondering if any of you are planning on applying to San Jac ADN program or are in the program?

Lets talk about it here

Oh ok... yeah, Lifespan isn't very difficult. The teacher I had was really nice and gave us reviews, but that was back in 2006. I took Yoga and Exercise for Health & Fitness as my PE credits. Yoga was my favorite! :D

1 more question... Do we have to turn in the Board of nurse examiners statement form and the understanding of clinical and theory assignment paper?

I turned it all in and the enrollment services lady accepted it. I'm guessing you should... just in case!

I finally turned everything in, now to try to relax untill summer classes start:onbch:

I am also applying to the ADN for Fall 2009 and just waiting being hopeful. I have heard stories about how hard it is to get into San Jac's Rn program over the last two years. I'm applying with option B and have good grades for their pre-reqs but I also have 60 hrs of credits because I was applying to the BSN too so I wonder if they will look at all those grades when considering the GPA because they brought me down a little bit.

Hey guys I responded to this thread and continue to follow it. I am a recent graduate (May 2009) from the San Jacinto ADN program. I will be studying for the NCLEX for the next week and wanted to see if anyone was interested in an informal question and answer with me at a local coffee shop (PM me for location). I am willing to answer any questions, confirm or deny rumors, and anything else anyone wants to know. **[Caveat: I do not claim that the statements that I will make represent the current practices of the college nor do I guarantee any of my statements as fact. I will answer questions solely based on my observations and experiences from my progression through the program. Thank you.]** I didn't mean to thread crap but I thought this could be useful to new applicants and prospective students. Also, any other inquiries just PM me. Good luck.

I would like somemore information about the nursing program I am applying for Fall 2009. I am new to this site so I am unsure what PM means. Anyone with information on what to expect please contact me or email me through my sanjac email, I would really apprecitate it. [email protected]. Thanks

Hi everyone. So, the application period ended today. Now for the wait.:anbd: I want to try to keep this thread going. Is anyone taking any summer classes???

Seriously, I am terrible at this allnurses thing. I tried to send a private message but my profile states that I am not allowed to. So I apologize to those that sent me messages. Someone asked me how long it took for me to get a response. I got a response about late July and others got it early August. My sister actually got a denial letter, then a week later received an acceptance letter due to more spots opening up. To the person that asked about Med/Surg 3, that is a very hard class. This goes for anyone, just utilize the books and narrow down to each specific disease process and learn to be able to differentiate between disease and what the nurse must do that is specific to each disease. On the test, if there is one thing that would cause the least amount of harm, or the one thing that you could do and walk away then choose that. Don't forget ABCs, Actual vs. Risk, and don't over analyze each question.

Oh... I see you only have three posts. You cant send PMs untill you have at least 15 post. But you can still recieve them. I forgot.

Has everyone else already gotten an email saying that there application has been received?
