San Jacinto College ADN Fall 2009

Published

Hi everyone. Im wondering if any of you are planning on applying to San Jac ADN program or are in the program?

Lets talk about it here

oh my.. i wish they didn't change the orientation to a later time on saturday.. from 9-3 now..not 9-12.. i had plans to go out of town, dang it!

Well, at least now it explains why they're offering lunches on Saturday : D

To be serious though, this doesn't affect me in anyway. Sucks for people like you who had plans though. At least it wasn't total last minute change.

Thanks Shana for the heads up on the time change for orientation. Did I miss the email on that also? Well I guess I gotta cancel my hair appt on Sat.

Did you get the schedule of events for orientation and the time frame for lunch?

no, where do we get the schedule of events? and no.. it doesn't say when lunch will actually be.. just that they are providing it.

man, you haven't gotten any emails huh!?

well i'll keep you updated on more things as well.

i don't even know where the room is for orientation..

i better dress comfy! (i wonder if it matters...)

I'm dressing comfortably. I wonder how much time we get for lunch since I don't plan to order their lunch. If anything, we should get a 30 min break. I wonder why they extended the Sat. orientation.

I'm just gonna eat what they have.. i don't care.. i'm not a picky eater.. ha ha. and i guess they extended it due to the fact they have more stuff to talk about..

All i know is that i'm gonna be super duper yawning the entire time.

Every time i get enough sleep, (8 hours) i'm still tired.. i just don't know why lol

I wish i was older. ha

Orientation will be in the room with the double doors down in the main lobby. I'm lacking a room number at the moment, and I was just there today too x_x

Can't wait to buy my overpriced scrubs! Yippee!

Fly dayton, maybe you know why we have to wear 2 different kinds of scrubs at the hospital and at school?

Also, are we wearing scrubs to our classes when they start like every day we have class? right? just making sure.

oh yeahhhh, our SHOES!

remember, melissa we were wondering this.. lol

do they have to be ALL white

or can they be regular tennis shoes with color in them?

because i really don't wanna go buy some new ones

when i already have some. ugh!:banghead:

Well I know they wanted to enforce a uniform policy on campus, thus the royal blues with the San Jac logo.

For the hospital, I think they have to comply with hospital standards, thus making us wear different ones. Plus, I don't know about you guys, but I'd be a tad bit embarrassed to go to the hospital with big San Jac logos sticking out everywhere.

I think shoes are whatever are comfortable. I have no idea on that, so I'm just guessing essentially. We'll know in 2 days, if nothing else.

Yes, we get to wear scrubs everyday to class which is a big relief for me. Did anyone read the article on hospitals eliminating the lab coat since it poses a greater threat of carrying germs than scrubs do?

And yes, I will be buying the most comfortable shoes I can get my hands on.:yeah:

why wouldn't scrubs carry just as many germs? ha.

where is the article at? or what is it called.

i'd like to read it!
