Hi everyone. Im wondering if any of you are planning on applying to San Jac ADN program or are in the program?
Lets talk about it here
It's a second semester class, and I'm not taking it in the fall because...I'm not taking it in the fall : D
They won't sign you up for a class that's not what you need to take. I was just being silly. You can take it beforehand, but I don't really see the benefit to it, aside from having one nursing class done early. I've heard it works better when you take it with the other second semester classes, as you'll actually be applying information from it into your clinicals.
That's just my opinion though, so pay no attention to it : )
You start your clinicals during the second 8 week part of term. The way it has worked the past two semesters is you take two days of six hour clinical time from 6:30 am to 12:30 pm. Sometimes there is a scheduling conflict and your clinical time is in the afternoon from 1:30 to 7:30. It just depends on what the nursing department has available and the number of students enrolled in that course.
I figure I have 4 1/2 weeks left to house train him and then, depending on my schedule, he'll be limited to the newspaper in his crate. I plan to have a petsitter come by on the days that I have class for more than 6 hrs.
I love how a dog can you make you feel good about your life no matter what happened that day. Now to give him some attention....
2nd 8 week is during this fall semester right? ha,sorryyy.they will be telling us all this at orientation,i'm sure.
so i need to just calmmmm down.
Yeah, they'll assuage our fears at orientation, so don't fear!

That should be enough time. Well, sometimes it's enough time. I've had dogs that were never housetrained because they just never could get over peeing in the house.
Pets are good at making you feel better though. Releases a bunch of serotonin I'm sure : )

Golly y'all. I expected more enthusiasm. Sounds like you both are just exhausted from summer classes. I'm glad I didnt' try to take anything during the summer. Sorry if I sound too chipper for y'all, I guess I'm caught up on my rest. Hee, hee!
Good luck with the Boston Terrier. Is he potty trained and stuff yet? I have 2 labs that I bought at 8 wks old. They are now 1yr, but when I bought them I was out of school...once school started back up, they suddenly became a difficult project. Mainly because I didn't have near as much time with them anymore. The kids and I have made that our summer project to work with them teaching them tricks and basic obedience , but after all that time of not, man are they out of control.
