Has anyone gotten a response from the SFSU BSN Program? I emailed someone a while ago and they said it would be rolling around sometime between April and May (how vague :zzzzz). I am just a nervous wreck as everyone else waiting for their ACCEPTANCES (positive thinking!). I think I'm going insane checking the website once or twice a day :banghead:. I've read somewhere around this forum that people have already been admitted or denied into the MSN program and the Accelerated BSN @ the Canada branch, but I applied at the main campus.

there is mention of my major (nursing) & level (junior) thats pretty much it. i went there yesterday, nursing department told me that in a few weeks they would send out letters to nursing students with special instructions. i know that some of the classes.

Julz, you can set the CSU EB campus email acct up so that it forwards your email to your regular email address. Just log in, select settings, then select forward and add whatever email address(es) you want your mail forwarded to. I have tested it several times and it works great. I still check the Horizon acct, just in case, but at least not all day long. Though there have been some days when I have been home and had it opened on the desktop and hit refresh every time I entered the room!

I wonder if they will only send notice via the campus email, or to the email on our apps? All the email I have received from them so far has been on the campus address, so I am thinking that is the one.

Good luck - maybe tomorrow is the day.

Now why didn't I think of that? :chuckle I'll be sure to check first thing tomorrow morning!

i am feeling very weird. it hasn't settled yet. this is my first application and my first school of choice. i really wanted to go to sfsu, but after reading rejection stories on this board, i had convinced myself that i wasn't going to get in.

now that i am in, i am ecstatic, i cannot express my satisfaction and appreciation for the opportunity. i understand that i have earned a great opportunity to be a great nurse, therefore, enigma is going to work his butt off!!

jean your are great! thanks :-) i am excited, it happened just like you, "last day of the month" i am just shopping around for more information. i guess i will have to wait for nursing school packet and orientation dates. i set up for orientation on the july 7th, thats when those in science majors are scheduled.

Concord only, for me. If I can't get in there, then I won't go to Hayward, I will wait for one of the ADNs I have a # for. I can't cope with too much of a commute with my younger kids (and even one of my older kids, at the moment!) still at home. Every extra minute on the road takes away from my family and I don't have any time to spare. I am already worried about how to pull this off! Not to mention $4+ a gallon for gas! Hey, can I use Stafford money for a hybrid?

still no letter, going down to the office today...

i understand you are a student at sfsu, so this is just a suggestion. when i visited the nursing office this week- when my letter had not arrived. the person in the office told me that all letters went out last week on thursday. it will be interesting to hear what they tell you.

as i stated in a previous response, they did say that anyone whose letter was returned to them would get a courtesy call to pick up the letter. that said, may i suggest you also visit the undergrad admissions office? it was my understanding that the nursing dept. pass their decisions to the admissions office so they can send out the admission letters.

ps: my later was dated monday, not sure how things work there. please keep us posted.

Heads up for those who were wondering, I was denied at CSUEB too '-_-. Oh well, my time will come. In the meantime, I'm thinking about getting a BS in Micro as my fallback plan...

I'm just curious because I'm a pre-nursing student and my top choice school is sfsu (i'm only on my second semester of prereqs),

What was your GPA and sup critera? and were you a transfer or already at sfsu? Thanks.

And yes I am very curious about freshmex and curious on whether julz16 got into csueb.

anyway, i'll be a few years before I apply but its good to know what I should aim for. besides aiming for perfect... because there are always bumps along the road.
