San Francisco State University (SFSU) BSN Program

U.S.A. California

Has anyone gotten a response from the SFSU BSN Program? I emailed someone a while ago and they said it would be rolling around sometime between April and May (how vague :zzzzz). I am just a nervous wreck as everyone else waiting for their ACCEPTANCES (positive thinking!). I think I'm going insane checking the website once or twice a day :banghead:. I've read somewhere around this forum that people have already been admitted or denied into the MSN program and the Accelerated BSN @ the Canada branch, but I applied at the main campus.

Here's hoping and praying... :nurse:

Is there anyone else who still hasn't received their letter? I'm going to go ask about it if I don't receive it tomorrow, it's getting really frustrating since a friend of mine got accepted for spring semester a week and a half ago now...

Yeah, you should probably give them a call. Like I said before, though, mine was postmarked April 16 and I didn't receive it until April 21.

Anywho, what I'm really wondering is....

Who DID make it in? Lol

have you gone to sfsu website and checked your application status? they should update that with your application status don't you think?

and what did you mean "for spring semester" i thought they only start in the fall 1998? what program are you referring to? thanks!

Me and my friend are both already students at State so we didn't have to go through that...the nursing program accepts applications once a year and half are accepted for fall and half for spring...she got accepted for spring...She had pretty much straight a's/a-'s and 3/3 supplemental criteria...

thanks for clarifying it. i am also like you waiting to hear back from them. keeping my fingers crossed. i think i will wait until wednesday (end of april) before contacting them. only problem is, will they inform me of my status?

i am applying to the bsn student - junior. i complete my non-nursing ge requirements end of may, in addition to my preqs for nursing. i take it your friend still has some ge classes to go?

We're both pretty much done with lower division GE...at state there's an upper division GE requirement called Segment III where you have to take 3 classes from certain clusters in order to graduate...While they aren't hard they are def time consuming...I've been working on my segment III this semester so I wouldn't have to do them during nursing school, but if I don't get into SFSU this semester will end out being a complete waste of my time since those classes won't transfer to anywhere else lol. I have been accepted into CSULB NS and am still waiting to hear back from Sacramento State but my #1 choice is SFSU since I live here so I would save tons of money staying at home...

can you tell me a little bit about segment iii ge requirements? or can you please point me to the website link to check out the classes that make up seg iii thanks again for your responses!

You just have to choose a cluster and finish all three...human sexuality is the easiest one and is the one most people pick (myself included). Just google 'sfsu segment iii' for more info about it.

I went to the office today and they said that all of the final letters went out on Thursday...I live three blocks away from the nursing office and I still haven't received a letter...why does is their mail so slow lol.

isnt' that crazy, you live 3 blocks away, but can't get feedback until it goes back to the main post office and gets routed back to your house lol i think this is sufficeint time for you to get a letter either today, latest tomorrow. why didn't they post up a list of those accepted? you must be anxious for the postman. i know i won't be able to check mail until tonight. i have a night class to go to, and i know i will not be as attentive as i need to be. at least i am attending :-) goodluck and let me know how it goes!

It still didn't come today...most things from SFSU that I get are postmarked one or two days at the latest before they arrive so I just think that these letters are cursed or something lol..

i guess i shouldn't be in a rush to get home. hey, i think it is good karma if you get yours later? i think... the girl from one of these threads said last year she got hers on the last day of april and she was accepted. going by that, you have to be optimistic. you might be starting school in a few months :-) isn't that great! ok even i am not liking the not knowing
