Hello everyone!
I just wanted to start a thread for the Spring 2021 term at SMU. Has anyone applied or planning on applying? Feel free to drop your stats and scores!

Thank you for your kind words, and you are right! I only applied to SMU, because I fell in love with this school from day one. Maybe it's time to look elsewhere ?
Wow and you didn’t get in either? Yeah I speak two languages as well. Since this is my second cycle applying I’d like to say the rejections start to hurt less. When I got rejected for fall 2020 from the state schools I was a mess, when I got rejected from SMU I only cried for like 5 minutes. So that’s the bright side LOL You begin to deal with pain, pick yourself up and keep going.
ehh let’s say 30 min-1 hr to be safe?*** but you get the idea
Goodmorning everyone,
Congrats to everyone who got it, I got my acceptance email this morning and I'm exciting to meeting you all.
For those still waiting to hear, be patient, it's not all about having the perfect GPA, so it's okay if you don't have that because I didn't either.
Goodluck!

I am a bit surprised considering I have a 3.8 GPA, academic honors, over 200 hours of volunteer healthcare experience, and no courses in progress. I thought I had a good chance of making the waitlist, if not getting accepted. To those that got in, I wish you the best and congratulations!! To those that did not, keep your head held high. It must have been extremely competitive this time. It does not take away from your potential to become a nurse. Keep applying, eventually you’ll get in. ❤️
Wow I'm so sorry to hear that! I was really rooting for you!
I just want to reiterate what you're saying about how it does not take away from your potential to become a great nurse. I know that rejections can feel extremely personal, but they are not! They don't say anything about you as a person (just as acceptances don't mean that you will be a better nurse/person). This year was especially difficult because of the whole pandemic mess.
I have gotten to know you in a way over the past couple months through this forum, and you really seem like such a nice and genuine person. I'm proud of you for keeping your head up.
