  1. The first week is not on the floor, it's a whole bunch of education about nursing specific to Kaiser and how things work. You do go to the hospital floor as well to see the unit/familiarize yourself with the hospital, but you don't start shadowing until the second week.
  2. The person I spoke with confirmed that the first two weeks will be either days or evenings (no night shift) 40 hours a week, and then we will transition into our hired schedule afterwards.
  3. I talked to someone and they said that there are no specialty placements being offered to any of the nurse residents because all spots were taken by Kaiser employees first. I feel like it's a bit of a bait and switch.
  4. I guess we aren't hearing from them today ?
  5. Generally most schedules seem to be for working weekends one week and not the next. For example, if the schedule looks something like week 1 "Tues Wed Sat" week 2 "Sun Mon Thu Fri", you get the weekend off every other week. It helped me think about it if you put it all together in a continuous schedule- Tues Wed Sat Sun Mon Thu Fri Tues Wed Sat Sun Mon Thu Fri etc etc. So you are working Tuesday and Wednesday, get two days off, work the weekend and Monday, get two days off, then Thursday Friday, then get the weekend and Monday off. And then it just repeats indefinitely.
  6. Yes I'm guessing the same email! It says we'll hear back next week about the specific position. My interpretation is yes, but it's up to us if we accept what they offer us or not
  7. OMG check your emails guys! I literally just got an email saying I got a position!
  8. For me they just asked questions about your resume or powerpoint. So not like the formal interview questions, but more clarifying.
  9. Those who have interviewed already, was there any chance to ask questions to the recruitment team?
  10. Aw my first choice was Santa Clara but I got an interview for the East Bay haha! It's too bad we couldn't have ranked our choices so they could give us interviews based on preference. Maybe if we both get the job we can switch Fremont/Santa Clara hahaha
  11. Same! Congrats! Does this mean we are only interviewing for one group?
  12. In the Webinar they said this was the first time they would be offering limited positions in ICU, L&D, and OR if there were spots available. They said "candidates will indicate preferences and position details will be identified at time of offer." I'm just wondering when/where we indicate preferences
  13. I didn't see a section to put our preferences for specialty units/medsurge/telemetry on the career snapshot. Did I miss it or do we input our preferences somewhere else?
