Samuel Merritt Spring 2017 ABSN

Hello! I just wanted to make a thread specifically for those who are applying to the Samuel Merritt ABSN for a spring 2017 start. I'm applying to start in April 2017. It's the only program I'm applying to, as I can't afford more than a year without an income and I really want a BSN and not an MSN at this time. I'm done with my application, just waiting for nursing CAS to verify all my transcripts before I click submit! Currently working full time and taking my last 3 pre recs online. What about you?

Love your idea, Krista! Also for anyone waiting on April I unfortunately may not be able to

use my spot due to a medical reason that arose unexpectedly but if not I will def be attending next year. So I may open up a spot for someone waiting! And if you don't get in this year and apply again maybe we will cross paths :). Good luck everyone, we will all get there someday! :)

I wonder, if they don't get enough qualified applicants for each of the different programs or don't meet demographic requirements, if they ever combine cohorts from San Mateo/Oakland/SF. Does anyone know if they have done that in the past?

And I haven't been posting long, but I too send wellness wishes to Natalie.

They don't combine, I know someone in April sf Bay Area cohort right now and there are only 17 students. And thanks everyone- I am 100% fine, just probably starting a year later. I'm 34 so I figure I have waited this long, starting at 35 isn't going to kill me. Honestly as long as I start I am not too concerned with whether it's this year or next year. I am just happy to be one step closer :)

And age is not an issue here: ) My friend started nursing school at SMU at 50, and then got work and loves it. She was my inspiration.

I was actually ON a vacation (still am in cabo) while waiting this weekend and it certainly helped but oh man, that was the longest weekend ever! Also, I got in as well-Oakland cohort! I got the email at like 8:02 this morning! I am so so so excited.

Hi everyone! I applied for the San Mateo June cohort and haven't gotten an email, so I'm pretty nervous :( Does anyone know if they send rejection emails?
