Samuel Merritt Spring 2017 ABSN

Hello! I just wanted to make a thread specifically for those who are applying to the Samuel Merritt ABSN for a spring 2017 start. I'm applying to start in April 2017. It's the only program I'm applying to, as I can't afford more than a year without an income and I really want a BSN and not an MSN at this time. I'm done with my application, just waiting for nursing CAS to verify all my transcripts before I click submit! Currently working full time and taking my last 3 pre recs online. What about you?

Any other oakland people hear? and what time was it sent? Clearly I'm anxious and trying to keep my hopes up- trying to grasp how they decide to send the letters out and in what order...

Man that sucks that people are going into the weekend not knowing! I would follow up months bc the whole junk email thing doesn't seem that reliable, maybe some filters just deleted it altogether thinking it was spam.

I checked last years timeline on here, and it looks like they rolled out decisions over several days and longer up to a week or more past the first people finding out. No need to worry yet!

For everyone worrying and waiting this weekend (myself included):

Here is what I did in my mind that made me feel better during this long and awful wait: Plan a vacation that you really want to go on, that you can only go on if you don't get into nursing school. (I've planned going with my family to Scotland.) That way, when the decision comes, either way it's a win/win! Best of luck to all. We all worked really hard to even be able to apply, and should be proud of that.
