Hey everyone- I thought it was time to start a new thread for the up and coming applicant pool for the ELMSN Sacramento cohort 2011. Five months until applications are due and it doesn't hurt to start communicating with one another already. I met with the admissions counselor last week and she gave me many pointers on how to strengthen my application. Can't wait to hear from some others out there who will be in it with me for the remainder of the year hoping to get into SMU.

Thanks 2bgr8nurse, I hope you're right too. I just figured that readyalready heard that over the weekend, and it seems a lot of notifications went out yesterday, so I assume there's not many spots left, if any. I wonder if anyone has been notified about the waitlist yet?

I thought the same thing last year, but you also have to realize that people who received acceptances (through group interviews) may not be on allnurses.com (not even half of admits are on allnurses.com) and the talent pool does vary from year to year. Last year I thought to myself why wasn't I accepted, so I made an appointment to see the admission counselor and there were a lot of areas for improvement. And that's the key, to better yourself so that you can stand out amongst others. Last year I FELT I was ready, but this year I KNOW I'm ready. It's the little things that count... and I wish all of you still waiting the best of luck. Remember this school if very selective and you all should be proud that you were offered an interview - some don't even get that opportunity. I'm relieved to see that I am not alone with these feelings. Ahh! The waiting is maddening, and its getting difficult to remain optomistic. 2bgr8nurse -Thanks for the words of encouragement. Congratulations to all you who have already heard!!

I called the admissions office today and they said that they have not finished making decisions yet. Also, we have to remember that often times they do not separate the programs when they give out that kind of information. I bet that about half of the slots for the master's program have been sent notifications, including the CM program. Don't give up, i'm not and I had a skype interview on Saturday, so we're all in the same boat playing the waiting game. Friday seems so far away!

I'm just repeating what I saw someone else post. I think someone said that they got an email on Friday saying that they would be notifying us on Friday

Hi everyone! I got in! I got the news on Monday afternoon. I'm sooo excited! I can't wait to meet all my classmates!! I'm waiting for a letter to come in the mail about the next steps. Anyone know more about that? Best of luck to all those still waiting. Hang in there.

Thanks for the info. I will be waiting for that letter. I interviewed one-on-one on 8/26. This was my second time applying for the program. Last year, I did a group interview and was on the waitlist. How many have been accepted so far? And are they already notifying those on the waitlist? Anyone know?

Btw....I met a young woman who interviewed right before me. She helps her mother with a farming equipment business or something along those lines. Are you out there?
