Hey everyone- I thought it was time to start a new thread for the up and coming applicant pool for the ELMSN Sacramento cohort 2011. Five months until applications are due and it doesn't hurt to start communicating with one another already. I met with the admissions counselor last week and she gave me many pointers on how to strengthen my application. Can't wait to hear from some others out there who will be in it with me for the remainder of the year hoping to get into SMU.

Man putting it in the year really makes it sound like a long haul. We better all like each other because we're stuck with one another for a looonnnng time. hahaha

So I was thinking we're class of 2014, but we might want to check with someone.

Haha, don't forget the DNP afterward which is at least one more year! :) Yep...that's a lot time together!

It is the same orientation date for all ELMSNs and ABSNs.- according to Liza.

2bgr8nurse, how are we the class of 2015? Unless I can't count we should be done in 2014 (3 full years plus one semester), but I know you verified it with LO so please explain... Are you counting the extra time for the DNP too?

She didn't say anything about DNP, but I don't want to email her back and bug her about it. DNP says it takes 2 years so that doesn't add up anyways. To be truthful I'm not going to focus on the done date, because I know we have the option of going part time after licensure and I could see myself going that route, which will put me at a later date anyways. Think I'll just be in school for the rest of my life.....

Congratulations everyone!

I'm just curious to know if anyone who had a group interview received an acceptance. It seems like most of you guys who got accepted had one on one or phone interviews.

I've been thinking the same thing too!! I guess one-on-ones are the way to go. I'm trying hard to remain optimistic, but I'm starting to think acceptance notifications may be over. I wish I would just hear something one way or the other... the waiting is awful!

Don't give up hope. readyalready said 14-15 spots had been filled, but we don't know if those spots have actually been notified yet. They might just be taking their time. I don't know, just trying to stay positive for you guys....
