Hii!!!

I've been looking all over for a thread about SM ELMSN Fall 2012 but have not found any!! So I guess I'll be the first to post something about it. Since application deadline is today, any hopefuls like to share their application experiences, stats, goals, anything related to nursing school? Now that apps are completed, the waiting begins...sooooo exciteddd!!! :nurse: I applied to the FNP track, crossing my fingers :uhoh3:

Congrats to all those who have been invited for an interview! For those who are still waiting, I'm sure they'll be contacting you soon.

You guys are so nice and encouraging. Patients are going to be lucky to have you as their NP or CM.

jly0162: Yes.. It made me nervous. Luckily, I was invited to the ELMSN-FNP program interview on February 4th the next day =). I thought it was strange that it's on a Saturday but I have no complaints. By the way.. does anyone know if we can send in an updated transcript to SMU?

So... here is further proof that they are sending invitations out in waves. I just got an invitation to also interview with the FNP program on February 22nd. Now my interviews are two days apart... guess I will be having that nervous breakdown right about now! In any case, never fear - they are still sending out invitations!

...but now I must research the FNP interview style as well. Anybody else have the 22nd? Maybe we can tag team and both look great =)

Congratulations!! That's awesome. Better have two interviews than just one. I'm sure you'll do fine. The cohort last year suggested reading this https://allnurses.com/california-nurses/samuel-merritt-elmsn-282593.html. It gives advice on what we should do, wear, etc.

Here's the email I received last week:

"Hello:

Thank you for applying to the ELMSN FNP program for fall 2012. At this point, I would offer you the opportunity to have your file considered for the ELMSN Case Management track. The FNP faculty reviewed your file and feel you may be a better fit for Case Management. If you would like, I can have the case management faculty review your file. This is not a guarantee of acceptance. You would need to research and make sure that Case Management is something you want to consider. You can check the Case Management page of our website for more information: http://www.samuelmerritt.edu/nursing/cm_elms_nursing

It is not possible to switch from one track to another. Committing to the program should you be accepted means staying in the ELMSN CM program. Please let me know what you decide by January 31st."

I later sent an email back to the admission counselor asking if I was still a candidate for this year's FNP track and she said that I would not be invited for an interview. :( Did anyone receive something similar?

Am I the only male interviewing for the CM program? Woohoo school with all females jkjk! Just wanted to wish everyone good luck on their upcoming interviews, and for the people still waiting, dont lose hope.
