Hi, I got it too and yes it was suggested to apply for next cohort while we wait! My heart was racing when I saw that email! ? Here’s to a few more weeks of waiting! ?

hi everyone! I also got the email. I've been refreshing this thread and my applicant portal constantly and I know I'm not the only one who hope we'd get a decision today. I thought based on the past threads of getting the emails on the 17th...

anyone know why it's taking so long this year? I'm trying to be patient but this is so hard. I know I can't be the only one who has an established job, kids, etc and it's kind of hard to make plans for things like student loans and childcare and potentially quitting my job when so much is still up in the air! anyway, I really hope everyone gets in and good luck during the waiting period.

Yes! I’ve been obsessively checking my emails and the portal as well. I was really hoping to receive a decision by today or tomorrow as well. It’s so stressful!

I think maybe it’s taking much longer this cycle is because there are more applicants? And each applicant is beyond qualified, so they’re having a hard time making their selections?

I was originally planning on submitting another application in July 1, but I am hesitant because Of the application fee. Was really hoping to find out before July 1 so I can adequately prepare for the submission.

Who is planning on applying for the July 1st deadline? I'm on the fence about it. I feel that my application hasn't changed at all.

I don't know? I feel the same way. I just finished taking my last prerequisite in May, so I don't know what more I can do to make my application better. I suppose I could do more volunteering.

I feel exactly the same. When I spoke to admissions a few weeks ago they mentioned that we'd have the decision by mid-June. I was thinking if I didn't get in I might take the TEAS again or something. I feel like I don't have enough time to change anything in my application between now and July 1st. If you don't mind me asking, how would you get in more hours between now and the application deadline?

I already applied to July 1st. Only added the new course I took this Spring and everything else was same. Those of you who applied; can I ask to share your grades if you wouldn't mind. Like how much you scored on TEAS? I don't have good grades; I'm just having my fingers crossed.

Also those of you who had made this account in Samuel Merrit portal; Do you guys see any updates there?.

I am still debating on applying again by July 1st. I definitely am going to wait until the last day to apply if I do. I just don’t feel like my application would change at all and it would be a waste of money. I was anticipating retaking my TEAS if I didn’t get in this cohort (I also thought I’d know their decision by 6/15), but I don’t want to stress myself out and pay unnecessary money if I don’t have to. Such a frustrating situation to be in. Glad I’m not the only one feeling indifferent about it all.

If you’re stuck and absolutely certain you want to go to Samuel Merritt, maybe you should try taking the HESI exam and see if you score higher on that vs the TEAS. I personally did far better on the HESI and thankfully Samuel Merritt is one of the few schools that accepts either exam.

I guess I’ll find out if scoring high on the HESI improved my application to get accepted. ?
