I am starting this thread to connect with other students who are applying to get into SHSU nursing program this upcoming fall. I applied last Fall but unfourtunatley my application was lost due to technical difficulties( most likely from the hurricane). Anyways feel free to post any scores, questions, or knowledge you have in regards to the program!

I am also applying, I sent my application in through ApplyTexas on March 6th as a transfer student but have not heard anything back. I haven't called yet since the offices are closed for Spring Break. I have all my prereqs done but still need to take the Teas. Have you already taken it?

Good luck to y'all on Fall admission! I am exploring SHSU as an option for Spring 2019, Has their nursing school moved completely to The Woodlands? and do y'all know how many students they accept for each cohort?
Do you mind sharing where you took your TEAS exam at?
I took my TEAS at one of the Houston testing centers. I registered for the test on the ATI website. I took the test and send my test transcript in to SHSU. I think you can also take the test at SHSU testing center. As for the for the nursing program at the woodland center, I believe that's just another branch and both the nursing program in Huntsville and the Woodlands have 30 slots each. That's my understanding but I'm not sure. I applied to the one in the Woodlands. Good luck and wish you all the best.
Thank you! We're a military family & we haven't quite relocated to Houston yet so I'm just trying to look at testing center options in the event I don't take my TEAS where we are currently.
Good luck to you!

I spoke with Joanna in advising and she said they'd pull our final transcripts beginning on June 1st. I wonder how long afterwards we'll get a decision.

I know nobody has gotten there acceptance letter yet but I know the whole program has moved to the Woodlands. Does anyone know where the best places to live are around there or should I just commute from Huntsville? And also, do y'all know what date we would possibly be getting our letters to see if we get in or not?

Joanna said they should start sending out acceptance/denial e-mails starting on June 15th and going through June 23rd.
