Sam Houston State University Fall 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I am starting this thread to connect with other students who are applying to get into SHSU nursing program this upcoming fall. I applied last Fall but unfourtunatley my application was lost due to technical difficulties( most likely from the hurricane). Anyways feel free to post any scores, questions, or knowledge you have in regards to the program!

Did anybody have to do the accelerated Hep B series? Just looking for options in the area.

New to this forum! I was looking at Fall 2017 applicants and they started hearing back June 9th!! I hope we hear back as early as that.

hopefully we hear back sooner. I got into UTH and TWU and they have deadlines to accept. UTH also makes you put down a $200 deposit. If I get into Sam I'll most likely give my seat up.

Hey! I'm in the same situation! I got into Ut health today and I am unsure of which nursing school I will go to (that is saying I even get into Sam Houston). I live in the woodlands so the commute is killer, but I've heard Ut health is a such an amazing program. Maybe we could exchange contact info?

Good luck with choosing!

I know nobody has gotten there acceptance letter yet but I know the whole program has moved to the Woodlands. Does anyone know where the best places to live are around there or should I just commute from Huntsville? And also, do y'all know what date we would possibly be getting our letters to see if we get in or not?

Pine creek ranch apartments are affordable and safe! It is literally right next to the nurisng school. You wouldn't even need to drive!

Hi Leah! I tried to PM you but Apparently I'm not qualified to do so yet. I live in The Woodlands too and the commute was concerning me as well, but The Woodlands actually has a transport system that goes to the Med center mon-Friday!

Oh wow! I didn't know that! Here is my email: [email protected]. I'd love to discuss! I'm new to the woodlands area, so I don't know anyone, let alone a nursing student struggling with the same issue as I am!

Hope to hear from you!

I also live in The Woodlands. I was waitlisted at UTH for summer 2018 admission, then didn't get off the waitlist. I didn't reapply for fall 2018 because the more I thought about it, the more I dreaded the drive. So now all my hopes are pinned on SHSU. Fingers crossed.

Check your e-mails!

Did you get in? Nothing here yet.

How accurate is someone about the decision letter date? That is so close but I want to know so.
