Salaries are going to vary. You're comparing RN's from different specialties with different levels of experience vs NP's with different specialties with different levels of experience.
On a broad spectrum, RN's can make $50-90k. They may even get into the low 100k area when you get to the Manager/Director status.
NP's can make anywhere from $75k-200k. Some even more.
So yes, if you're comparing your $85k RN job and land an $80k NP job...that wouldn't be the greatest thing financially.
But if you end up getting an NP job for $125k and compare it to your $85k RN job..it seems like a no brainer.

What are y'all NP's making these days? I am currently making 85k salary with my BSN. Someone told me I will not see a salary increase if I go to grad school as an ACNP. Thoughts???
