do u have an idea how much does a renal/dialysis nurse usually get?...in IL? thanks...
Bravo!! I'm in fact on my week training out of town with full pay and all expenses having a blast actually L.O.L.. Don't get to go home till Friday but learning allot. Yes the FA is the primary one to make or break any facility. If you have good management and a good medical director then it should be smooth sailing. :) Thus far I cant complain of what Davita has had to offer me.
SO your in theory class now its a class . But wait for Davita Academy basically a 3 day pep rally with one night provided with A bar,DJ dance floor and lights. Kent Thiry always asks for people who remember the Core Values and mission statement and randomly ask during the week. IF you do it you win 50 American express gift checks for every team mate at your clinic ! SO remember s.i.t.t.c.a.f.f. ! Oh when you go there is a newer vice president that took a guy called Yoda's Place you should let him know you chated with a guy that trianed him when he first started. I was then in Burlington N.C. he had to endure 3 days of reality traing in a real clinic to see what its like. We had about 60 patients daily so he got a good taste ! Then went on to his multi millon dollar job. I read today Kent thiry CEo for DAvita grossed 28 million last year. Think we went into the wrong field ?
In New Jesey per-diem dialysis nurses make a minimum of $40.00/hr and often $50.00/hr. I cannot believe the low salaries posted on this site. Nurses need to stand up for wage increases. Everyone is always sympathizing with teacher wages. What about nurses?
You are so right. I too can not believe that they make such a small amount. LPNs in NY make more than that. My girl friend in NY makes 45/hr on wkdays for per diem in a dialysis clinic.
good lord, y'all are starting out close to the same rate i am getting after 7+ years of hemo!!!!!!!! Good for you!!! maybe i should quit my current company(davita),
Where do you work?... I'm and AA at a DaVita unit in Wisconsin. I was told I'd start around 23 or 24 when I graduated....
:)
Were you successful? Sure hope so.DeLana :)
How do you like working for DaVita? Are you pushed out the door before you can really complete your job? By the way, I've been a dialysis nurse for 2 years. I started out at $21 an hour (had been a BSN for 16 years at that time). Got a raise to $23. Then DaVita bought us and they did a cost adjustment raise and I get $25 an hour.
