I have found this site to be very helpful regarding salaries in different cities throughout the U.S. However, a lot of the threads are a little outdated regarding pay rates, so I was hoping to start a new one. I have noticed that some people get really bent out of shape when it comes to salary discussions, which then causes a lot of bickering, which then causes the thread to end. If you are one of these people, just ignore the post, it doesn't need a bunch of caddy "if you are only worried about the money, you shouldn't be a nurse!" posts. I'm sure I am not the only almost-nurse one who is single, no kids, and ready to move wherever the best opportunity is present. If you would be so helpful as to include:
1. City where you work
2. How many years working as an RN or LPN
3. Take home pay, or hourly pay
It would be much appreciated!

"caddy"?
Cheyenne, Wy new grads ASN and BSN are started at 25 p/h base pay. They just gave everyone a dollar an hr raise. We are so short staffed that they also just announced this week that anyone that works a 4th shift during the work week will get bonus pay on top of their time and a half. RN's it's 10 dollars more per hr so a new nurse working a 4th shift will be making about $48 per hr. Their is also no state tax and no food tax here. I LOVE IT!
I graduated in May and I make 25.50 P/H
Differentials are Mid Shift 8% and Night Shift 12%
Congrats!Wyoming is "home" to me. Cheyenne is... a bit flat and notoriously windy...but no tornados to speak of. :)
Clean little city.
Enjoy the area. SO much to see and do in CO/WY.
I personally am having a hard time adjusting to the actual City of Wyoming after living in FoCo for the past 5 1/2 years. I had to chuckle reading this because clean is the last word I would use to describe the city. I can't believe how completely different the culture and the city is with only being 45 mins. away from Fort Collins.
Their are some pros about working here though, I am trying to embrace living here but it's been a very tough adjustment.
