Such a sad day. Woke up to the Las Vegas shooting and get to school to be told one of our freshman had passed yesterday. Overwhelmed by the senselessness of these reports. Prayers for our campus, please.

You must be from the East Coast, as one of the female students from the university I live directly next to passed away after being hit by an SUV at an intersection. I heard this from my sisters (both alumni) hours after hearing about Las Vegas.

A sad day indeed. ;(

I don't know exactly what is making people snap without thinking of others. I think it is very selfish to take the lives of other innocent people.

I'm so sorry to hear about your student.

And I know I'm not the only who kept feeling sicker and sicker as I watched the numbers of the dead and injured rise and rise yesterday in Las Vegas.

The atmosphere here is very subdued. The local news is full of reports, and new information is coming in bits and pieces. Local hospitals are overwhelmed, especially those closest to the Strip. Everyone is still trying to make sense of this, and looking for answers that may never come.
