I just attended the Rutgers ABSN information session this past Monday. It seems there were a couple of people applying for this upcoming fall (2016), including myself, and it was suggested that we connect! I'm applying to both campuses but hope to get into Newark at the very least since its a closer commute for me. I'm just starting the NursingCas application.
Just talked to someone in admissions. She said that everyone who was wait listed was informed via email and all other decisions were mailed out. Since people here are saying that they were receiving acceptance emails do you think it is possible that the letters are just for people that are not accepted in to the program?
I was rejected as well.. I did not complete my B.A nor Microbiology and Chem at time of application. I got A's on all other preqs except B on stats. Fortunately, I was accepted to another university's ABSN.
Congratulations to those who were accepted to RUNewark! To be accepted is no easy feat, you should be extremely proud of yourselves.
I just finished my first semester in the program. What a journey!!!! I did pretty well in 4/5 of my classes but was unable to conquer 1 of them, therefore I will be placed in your cohort. Organizing is a pretty big hobby of mine, so if no one else has done so thus far, I'd love to organize our class in a Facebook group for now. Once our cohort gets settled and we actually meet in person, I will create a sign up sheet where everyone can put their email addresses and I will then be able to create a Slack group. Slack is a fantastic Desktop and Mobile app program that's kind of like a huge group chat -- only better. I managed my old cohort's Slack group and it was such a great help.
I'll go into more detail about Slack later, but for now, we can convene our conversations in our new group. Search for "Rutgers ABSN Fll 2016 Newark Campus" in the Facebook search bar. I will accept your request.
Hey! Is anyone else still deciding between campuses? Any pros and cons to either, other than location. I hear the program is ultimately the same at both campuses, but let me know your input!
