Hi all! I couldn't find any threads for Roseman's July 2021 cohort so thought I would start one. I am from California and applying to the Henderson NV campus. I know applications don't open until December 1st, but thought I would get a jump on this since many of us are getting application stuff together. Feel free to share stats, advice, or anything else!
Hello All,
I read most of you received interview emails for the June ABSN 2021 cohort as early as Feb 2021. I got my interview email literally today April 7, 2021. I also read that some of you mentioned that June ABSN cohort seats is filled up. I am confused why I got an interview now? Any insights? @chocomilkcereal@Vee0323 @HSkuBi500 @iAMwheels

Hello! Seats usually open up if someone declines their offer if they don’t want the location they got accepted to. For example, someone wanted Henderson but they got into South Jordan. Another reason could be is that they didn’t accept their offer in time or pay the seating fee which reserves your seat into the program. Hope this helps!

I am not sure if the seats are already full, but I was invited to the interview earlier because I applied very beginning of this application cycle. If they invited you, I would say the school still has seats available. (not sure which campus though). They do not tell you which campus you are going to be accepted until you receive the acceptance letter.
Thank you @chocomilkcereal and @HSkuBi500 for your prompt reply. It almost sounds like second round of candidates are reached out for an interview since some candidates may have declined their offer or missed their deadline to accept. I have interview scheduled for next week. Why is Henderson campus so popular particularly among Californians? I am from CA too ?

Actually, I declined an acceptance to the South Jordan campus yesterday, so that adds up with what everyone else is commenting. Best of luck!!

I’m guessing Henderson is popular since it is closer to California compared to Utah and campus close to the Las Vegas Strip as well. I personally wanted Henderson since I already live in Las Vegas so there was no point in me moving.

Personally for me as a Californian, I wanted to avoid living in snow while in school if I could, and I've heard it's difficult to get a job in California right now, so I thought the closer to CA the better. But getting trained is invaluable, and I've heard a lot of nice things about Salt Lake!
Also for the interview, they make it a really friendly process, so if you have fun with it and know what you want to say to as many common interview questions as possible, you'll have a great time!

I would say, Henderson campus is populer because the students wish the Henderson location already living in Las Vegas area. Like I do !
Oh, I did not read the last part for Californian ?
Henderson campus is closer than South Jordan campus from California. And..More fun stuff to do in Vegas..?! ?

A few California nurses recently told me it's REALLY hard to get a job in CA when trained/networking out of state. It turns out I was accepted to the South Jordan campus - do you happen to have a feel on the likelihood of getting a CA job when trained there? Thanks for any insight you can provide!
