How many pages did everyone end up with on week 4 paper??? UGG. I have 2.5 without title or reference.
I havent written yet. I did the equations and I have lots of thoughts running thru my head...still trying to gather my 2 outside sources...I plan to write it tomorrow, for toady I have to write my DB post
I started 4580 leadership 3 weeks ago and our assignment this weeks is about staffing and calculation. It is very confusing...it talks about variable FTE calculation, productivity percent, annual care hours, average dailly census.....Anyonw have taken it before and would like to share your thoughts/answers??
Thank you! It would be greatly appreciated!!

My thoughts are that you need to read both tables in the book very carefully along with both pages to see how they arrived at the answers in the book. Break it down step by step. Look at each individual step before you move on to the next. Giving answers constitutes academic dishonesty. The thread for the last leadership class was removed because people were posting too much information and making the assignment a group project. Good luck. You can do this.

I personally feel the textbook doesn't provide adequate information for those who had no FTE knowledge previously. I struggled at the beginning. I googled "nursing FTE calculation", and it helped me understand the concepts much better. Hope this helps you as well.
For those struggling with the FTE assignment, here is an article that may help explain FTE's, productive FTEs, nonproductive FTEs, and how to determine staffing needs MUCH better than our book does. The chapter starts on pg 215.

This class is the reason I drink! (Ok, not the only reason, but it's the reason that I'm using this week.)
