Who's starting pre-nursing for an RN program this fall and what school will you be attending?
I start Aug 16th at Tidewater Community College in Virginia Beach, Va
I graduated from a local university with a Bachelor of General Studies
degree in December of 2004. I had been going to school on and off
since 1993 and changed my major about 4 times.
I have taken Medical Terminology, Human Anatomy, Human Physiology
Sociology of Healthcare and Healthcare Management; as well as many
other pre-reqs. If I decide to start at a local school I have only a few
classes left to take before I can enroll in clinicals (chemistry, nursing
history,microbiology).
i started july 5 and took college mathemtics. this fall i will be taking oral communication, general psychology, intermediate algebra, human growth and development, and english comp. i. all of them except for intermediate algebra are for my nursing degree, i'm taking int. algebra because i need to work my way up to college algebra (which is for the nursing degree).
forgot to say where i was going! i will be attending northwest mississippi community college.

Phlembotomy is a course i've been thinking of adding in spring. Seems to be a good "extra" if you know what I mean. A lot more than the Spanish I I'll be taking! LOLBrandy
Go for the phlebotomy course... it is a good way to get a little bit of hands on, I am taking it and I;m getting more confident working with needles and poking people .... good luck
I have been trying to get my degree since 96 and just started back up again this summer taking A&P I (had to retake it because of the 5 year rule) and starting fall semester on Aug. 29th. Will apply for nursing school by August 31st but this semester I will be taking classes towards my BSN. I will be applying for ADN. Edited because I forgot to say I will be going to DCCCD.

This will be my 3rd full semester into pre-reqs.....Hopefully I will be enrolled in:A&P 1

Brandy,
You must not live in a border State :) ? In Texas knowing Spanish is a BIG plus in any profession!! Its one I would like to take, as a "extra"!
:), but I can sure see where Phlembotomy would be great too!!

ADN is the abbreviation for Associate Degree of Nursing.
Some Schools have changed it to ASN - Associate of Science
in Nursing.
You live in Miami -- cool ! Lucky you !
