Who's starting pre-nursing for an RN program this fall and what school will you be attending?
I start Aug 16th at Tidewater Community College in Virginia Beach, Va
I'm in the Nursing Program but on the 'waiting list' for the actual Nursing classes at UMA (Univ Maine at Augusta).
UMA accepted 60 of my credits from my AD in Medical Assisting, which leaves me needing 6 classes prior to the actual Nursing Classes.
The classes I need aren't available the day/times I am able to take as I am still working 40 hrs/week.
I'm signed up for 4 classes, 2* I need and 2 to keep my full time status for FAFSA etc.

I start pre nursing courses this fall!!! I will be taking A&P 1, devel. psych, nutrition, and math! Kinda nervous about the work since i have been out of school for 2 years but i'm excited also!!!
Maybe some people will want to start an A&P 1 thread so we can help each other out!
Oh, also i'm going to Seminole Community College in Oviedo, Florida.
Nicole :)
I'm a fall starter too! I'm enrolled at a community college in Maine as a general studies major to take 2 pre-reqs and start the "co-reqs" and will 'apply' (everyone who completes the nursing admissions requirements gets accepted, but they MAY have to wait a year or so to begin nursing classes) for admission to the nursing program in December to start nursing classes in Fall of 06 (I'm hoping). Starting this fall I'll be taking A&P 1w/lab, Intro to Psych, Intro to Lit., and Dosage Calculations. 2nd semester I'll be taking A&P 2w/lab, Developmental Psych, & Microbiology w/lab. After that I'll only have the nursing classes to take. I'm pretty nervous and excited about starting.
LOL. Not to make light of your nervousness, but I've been out of school for 16 years! I sooo know how ya feel!
Me too....I have been out of school for 15 years. I am starting back in the fall at CCRhode Island. I have 4 pre req's to take this fall so I can qualify for the 2 year clinical waitlist. (I am so glad they have a waiting list and not a lottery) But what will be nice is the fact that I can take my co req's only 2 at a time. This semester will be a doosy though. Especially since I have 4 kids as well. My classes include, Anatomy, English comp, Dosages and Intro to health careers.
God willing I will get through these next few months in one piece.
