Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I've been prepping thus far with Saunders and Lippincott 3500 but prior to taking the NCLEX, I'd like to purchase an on-line test bank program and gain exposure to new and different questions. I'm interested in hearing from those of you out there who have used RnQuiz.com. Although less expensive by far than Kaplan, wondering if it's a quality product and am especially concerned with quality of questions and rationales. Would be great to hear from someone who has used both Kaplan and RnQuiz and can compare and contrast. Thanks!

I personally was not happy at all with rnquiz.com The questions on the website are nothing like NCLEX style of questions. I qouldn't recommend it. After 30 minutes I tried to get a refund they declined.

Dear Ataturk35...

You were so right...RNQuiz.com wasn't beneficial. I think I was looking, as many NCLEXers are prone to do, for the magical silver bullet. Saunders did it all for me with its content and Suzanne's Plan provided the framework and gave me the confidence to know I could succeed.

Hi all, I used RNquiz and found it to be one of the best study tools out there. I read there disclaimer befor joining and it said to send in you're test score if you fail and you will get a refund. I was lucky enough where I didnt have to do this (I passed) but I have a class mate who didnt put in the study time and she sent in her failure slip and was given a refund. It sounds like someone who Goes to the store buys icecream and is not happy with the flavor so he goes back to the store and blames them for allowing him to buy the icecream and demands a refund. The fact is that RNquiz did not have as many questiones on it as other sites but the study material was incredable. I used the study material along with a some test books and guess what? I passed!!! I told some friends about the site and they also did very well on the test.

To all the future RN's out there, I say keep studying you to can do it. I never thought I would be able to do it but here I am a RN and working full time in a Peds ICU. I am so happy I found this site. THANKS RNQUIZ, you made my dream become a reality...

Obviously that is your perception of the website and its content. rnquiz.com questions are nothing like the board questions and I think it would actually be interesting to be able to conduct a survey but not everyone subscribes to rnquiz.com. The way you defend them with your icecream example sure makes me think you either work for them or have a relative/friend who does. Anyways, I stated my opinion and that is all there is to it. Kaplan is definitely a better study guide than rnquiz.com. My true and only intentions are to help people study the type of questions that they ask in the boards so they can pass.

By the way I see that you just joined this site this month and the only comment you posted so far is about rnquiz.com. Hmmmmm, are you sure you didn't just sign on to advertise rnquiz.com??

now, now ataturk:

....let's take a deep breath!!!! relax.... :specs:

i've never even heard of rnquiz.com!!!! considering the original post was entered in 2007 and no one responded (in any way...) until 2008, says a whole lot!!!

i am laughing too hard while i type right now!!!!

I believe RNQUIZ was just a waste of money based on my opinion :down::down:. I still had my RNquiz membership and still good for 1 year but it doesn't look interesting and boring. I only used Exam Cram and PASSED both LVN and RN.

Just joined the Arizona RNQUIZ.com. They are smart in that they dont show examples of what they are selling. I paid $50 to join and am absolutely disgusted with being ripped off like that. I went straight to the musculoskeletal section and got 6 measly questions. I went to the study guide and the information was missing so much. I only see a small section on peds pharm other than that I dont see any pharmacology. Since one person posted that 60% of their NCLEX was pharm this site is useless. So all in all a total waste of $50! I got 100% on musculoskeletal and I have only just finished 1st semester. So you figure that one out.... One of their 6 questions was

"The nurse is aware that an open fracture is which of the following?

a. A bone that fractures at the growth plate

b. A fracture in the hand

c. A fracture bone that penetrates the skin

d. A bone fracture that occurs with a raise in WBCs"

even my kids could answer that level of questioning.

Good idea to bring the warning to the forefront again.
