RN/Post BSN Nursing Certificates

Specializes in ER.

Anyone know of any online nursing certificates for RNs or ever done one? I'm looking for something in case management, gerontology, community nursing or a related area. The reason is I am planning on graduate school in 2011 and I wanted to have sometime to add to my resume before then. I already have a BSN. Thanks for any input!

I am not looking to become an RN...I am already an RN. I am looking for a specialty certificate in case management or a related field. I have found one program and I'm sure there are more out there- just having trouble finding them!

yes you can do online.I think they have some requirements to do online.go to www.ccmcertifications.org.I dont know really you mean to this only.

Penn State University has an online certificate in Nursing Management. They also have an online certificate in Gerontology, but it's a post Masters certificate. I am enrolled in their online RN to BSN program and I love it!

I have a school nurse certificate from Slippery Rock University (www.sru.edu). It was completed online. Easy to complete online courses. I would do it again if needed. I believe that SRU has other nursing certificates.

Go to the association of the certification you want to get, ie case management assoc. etc. They may not have an online class but they will have materials for sale that you can study independently or may be able to tell you where there is a class going on. They can also tel you how/when to sign up for the exam.

Specializes in Med/Surg, ICU, educator.

or go to ANCC and they have an extensive list of certs, materials, and test information. They will have something to meet your needs.

To become a CCM ( Certified Case Manager) you need case management experience.
